Rock climbing(攀岩)did not become a sport until late in the 1900s. But now it has become a popular outdoor activity. While rock climbing may still be necessary for mountain climbing, most people just climb low mountains for fun.
If you have ever done rock climbing, you will know that it is not a very easy sport. Indoor and outdoor rock climbing both need practice. What most people don’t know is that rock climbing is one of the sports that depend on your body and mind(意志).
To climb successfully, one must use wonderful skills. One of the important rules is to always have three parts of your body on the rock face. Another important rule is that your arms only hold you close to the rock face while your legs are pushing you up, the closer you are to the rock face, the easier it is to climb.
Rock climbing is a wonderful sport. Once you start to learn how to climb, you’ll find more fun. People who like games such as chess playing or problem-solving may love rock climbing, because they are nearly the same in the way of thinking. I love turtles(龟), but I haven't cared for them well. So please read the following before deciding on buying one.
You don't have enough room. Turtles need a lot of room to live happily. But this doesn't mean you should let them play freely across your house.
You can't give your turtle enough food. Most turtles eat both meat and plants. Whatever you do, don't think you can feed your pet the only food from a pet store, which is a death sentence(死刑).
If you own a dog or a cat, don't risk buying the turtle unless you can keep them 100% separate(分开的)! One day, my dog ate a box turtle and about a month later the dog died. I've read that many box turtles carry toxins(毒素) in their bodies.
You can't offer right temperature. Once, I bought a turtle that was not put into a box. It died a few days later. In fact, the box can give it a good temperature.
You want an expensive pet for a status(身份) symbol. This may be the worst reason to buy a turtle. It means your heart is not on it, and you will not be taking all the steps necessary to care for the pet.
You will find different information in some books. You need to read more books to begin to understand the high level of care needed.
6.The reason why people should separate a dog from a turtle is that ________.

What’s the farthest place you have ever cycled Perhaps you cycle to school or to work, or maybe at most a short cycling trip with friends. How would you feel about spending months on the road traveling alone from the UK to China by bike
For Pete Jones, cycling long distances and staying out at night are very natural. And now Mr Jones is taking a trip across from Britain to China. Having lived in Xinjiang for three years, and having visited the country many times since 1992, Pete Jones is no stranger to China.
But he says many people are puzzled by his passion(激情)for cycling. And they asked why he would choose to cycle when he can drive a car.
Edward Genochio was another Englishman who completed a 41, 000 km trip to China and back. He said one of his aims was to tell people that cycling does no harm to nature and the environment, and it is safe.

Dear Joe,
Our village is ancient but its mountains and rivers attract many tourists. The mountains are in different shapes. They look amazing. Of all the mountains, Mount Lingshi is the highest. It’s about 1,000 meters high. Few people in our village have climbed it. The rivers run quietly and the water in them is very clean. Shuiniu River is longer than any other river in our village and it’s about ten meters deep — the deepest of all the rivers in our village. Also, if you come to my village, you can enjoy the wonderful clean air.
Yours,
Helen
