本单元以"谈论过去正在发生的事情"为话题 ，讲述了大事件发生时人们正在进行的各种活动。具体到书面表达中，要求同学们会对过去正在发生的事情进行描述，在写这类短文时，要运用相应的过去时态，如一般过去时或过去进行时等。
写作此类话题作文的常用表达有：

She was new here and didn't know the way to the City Hospital, so I took her there.Finally, when I got to the playground, the game almost ended. I said sorry and explained the reason. He said, "It doesn't matter."
I remember this event well because it reminds me of doing what I should do at any time.
