一、导入环节(2分钟)
(一)导入新课,板书课题
导入语:At the beginning of our class, I wish you have a Happy New Year and Success in your study. All of you look great. So you must have had a good time during the Spring Festival. Could you share your happiness with us New term begins, let’s step into the new learning life together!

探究一:A trip to China. (中国之行)
(1) trip 的意思是旅行、旅程,为不可数名词。通常指近距离的为了办事或消遣而进行的旅行,并且往往要回到出发点(即指双程),不过trip有时可指远距离的长途旅行。
plan a trip: 计划一次旅行
例:We made a pleasant trip to the nearest seaside.____________________________
Jenny is on a trip to China.___________________________
(2) travel: 作“旅行、游历”解,一般表示从一地到另一地旅行这一总的概念。常指长时间、远距离的“旅行”。尤指出国旅行。 例:
Travel on Silk Road.______________________
I am reading a book about the travel to North Pole. ______________________________
探究二: We’re learning about the Silk Road this month in school.(这个月我们正在学习丝绸之路的知识。)
(1) learn about: 学习、了解 例:Ann wants to learn about Chinese history. ____________探究三:Who will lead the trip (谁来领队) (1) lead: vt. 带领,指路 例:She led me into the drawing-room. 她带我进入客厅。 (2) lead: vi. 领路 例:You lead and we'll follow. 你领路,我们跟着。
探究四:Jenny's father and mother read the note. (珍妮的爸爸妈妈看便条。) (1) note:便条、便签 例句:I'll have to leave a note for Karen.(我得给卡伦留张便条。)
探究五:This is a good chance for you. (这对你来说是个好机会。) chance: 机会.
例:I felt I had to give him a chance. 我觉得自己必须给他个机会。
探究六: I will send Li Ming an e-mail and tell him the good news. (我要给李明发一封电子邮件,告诉他这个好消息。) (1) send: 寄;送 例: He sent me a note thanking me for dinner. (2) news: 消息;新闻,为不可数名词。 a piece of news: 一则消息/新闻。 good news: 好消息;bad news: 坏消息
探究七:May I ask you a question (我可以问你们一个问题吗?)
may: 可能、也许;May I... 我能……吗?表示询问请求、许可。回答可以用:Yes, you may. 或者No, you may not. 例: May I have your eraser?
