Lesson 10:Music and Dance
●教学内容:Lesson 10课文。
●教学目标:通过本课的学习,让学生熟练掌握本节课的重点词汇,并能用英语准确描述自己的兴趣爱好。
●教学重点:
1.掌握词汇:realize, rich, western, violin, dancer, think about, can’t wait to do, play music, take part in, I hope so.
2.熟练的介绍自己的某一特长。
●教学难点:
1.熟练运用正确的语句写出自己的某一特长或兴趣爱好。
2.掌握部分动词变名词的方法eg. play-player。
二、教学目标:
●语言知识:
(1)学习和掌握本节课重点词汇。
(2)熟练掌握动词和名词的互相转换。
(3)运用英语准确描述某一特长或兴趣爱好。
●语言技能:
通过本课的学习培养学生综合运用语言的能力,有效提高学生听、说和写作的能力,令其可以熟练自如地介绍某一活动。
●情感态度:
通过本课的学习,让学生向其他人介绍自己的特长,培养他们的兴趣爱好,培养学生们互相欣赏、互相学习的人生态度。
●学习策略:听力练习、小组活动、个人展示。

四、教学步骤
Step 1 Revision (about 7 min)
1.Have a diction: Teacher speaks Chinese meanings, and students write down the English words and expressions they learnt before.
2.Check homework: Let some students check the answers of exercises.
3.Let two students introduce a kind of animal and a place of interest.
Step 2 Presentation (about 18 min)
1.Teacher gives students a riddle about piano and introduces the instrument which she is good at, including when she started to develop this talent and where or how she practiced the talent. And asks what students’ talents are.
2.Listen to the tape to find out Li Ming’s and Wang Mei’s hobbies . While listening, students should write some important information.
3.Listen again and try to tick the correct answers of Part One.
4.Teacher reads the sentences and students say out they are true or false.
5.Read the passage together, and let some students to translate it.
6. Divide students into 9 groups as usual. Six students are in a group. Talk about the grammar focus of the long conversation. Let some students analyze the important points .Teacher adds more details.
Step 3 Practice (about 12 min)
1.Group Contest: Try to write the nouns which are from verbs as many as possible. Teacher will award the first place.
2.Work in groups, talk about the things they are good at.
3.Invite some students to make the introductions in the class. And others can ask them some questions.
4.Write down the introductions and correct them in groups.
Step 4 Summary & Homework (about 3 min)
1.Let some students sum up today’s contents. They are expected to sum up the key words, phrases and sentence patterns. And they should sum up all the nouns which are from verbs they learnt today.
2. Homework: Finish the workbook.
