The wind was blowing dreadfully(恐怖地)。
The wind was blowing softly(柔和地)。
The wind was blowing comfortably(舒服地)。
That night we set up our tent in a park.(那天晚上我们在公园里搭起帐篷。)
The moon was held up above the sky, shining her smooth and charming moonlight.
Twinkling stars were blinking(眨眼), and fragrant(芬芳的)breeze(微风) gently blew.(闪烁的星星眨着眼,芬芳的微风轻轻地吹着。)
smooth 光滑的charming 迷人的blinking(眨眼),fragrant(芬芳的)breeze(微风)
Resting beside my mother, with hands held tightly by her, I feel the world is so beautiful.(躺在母亲身边,双手紧紧地握着母亲,我觉得这个世界是如此美丽。)
The wind was howling dreadfully and the rain was pouring from the heaven, whipping against the branches of lined(成排的) trees.
The world was loaded with a sea of darkness
howling(怒吼)dreadfully(恐怖地whipping(抽打) lined(成排的)
I was seized with the roaring power of nature. A sense of horror creeping up on me.
Night fell. The darkness was thin, like some sleazy dress that has been worn and worn for many winters and always lets the cold through to the bones. Then the moon rose.
let.. through 让...
就起到了这个作用:“like some sleazy dress”
将darkness比作薄薄的裙子还不够,还穿了好几个冬天(has been worn and worn for many winters),冬天里穿裙子一定非常的寒冷。
A fire still fluttered in the grate (壁炉炉膛), ... like a bird trying to find its way out of the room.
这句话里,把壁炉里跳动的火苗比作想挣脱束缚的鸟(find its way out of the room)。
The wind was blowing. The mist was getting thick, like a huge textured velvet cloak, making what is hidden inside an unclear mystery.
Standing beside the empty road, they looked up into the sky, feeling the precious peace from within.
The moon appeared momentarily, and she seemed to throw me a bewildered, dreary glance ,and buried herself again instantly in the deep drift of cloud.
Then the moon appeared in all its elegant whiteness, lightening up the cloudless sky ;finally, moving more slowly, it cast on the surface of the river a large parch of light which glittered like an infinity of stars.
The moon under siege by stars seemed to lighten the night bringing forth stars that shone and hung in the blackness. The never ending blackness consumed everything.
I strolled up a large hill as the summer breeze pushed past. Looking up, I saw the sun shine brighter than I ever knew before.
The sun was at it’s highest, like a vicious unblinking yellow eye stares down at me from the cloudless sky.
The birds flew through that ever developing canvas of the dawn, as if their wings were fine quills, drawing such buoyant hues.
The forest is the orchestra consisted of the birds, playing one enchanting symphony after another.
Their white bodies soared across the skies. The silver linings of the clouds were being sliced by vast, beautiful wings. Their figures stood prominent in the bright blue above, with only small pockets of clouds to hide them.
The tree stood erect from the grass, its pink blossom blew away with a large gust of wind as graceful a dancing ballerina. The new leaves sparkled with the morning dew.
The tree stood out from the rest of the landscape, bathed in a bright angelic light.
A cold breeze blew through her soft hair.
A gust of wind blew and parted the drooping branches the willow like a curtain.
Dark clouds were gathering in the sky.
The sky is overcast, darkened with gloomy clouds.
The rain came pouring down, th streams rose and the winds blew and beat against the house.
On a nearby hill, he could see smoke waving lowly skywards from the chimney of his house.
The clouds had spread and nearly covered the entire sky
The sun went in, and the breeze became cold
I am drawn outside while the rain still falls. All around, there is a cool and welcome feeling. I breathe deeply and watch the sun's rays streaks through breaking clouds.
I looked out of the car window, winding rivers loft mountains, sunny beaches and deep valleys holding me entirely in their fascination/power.
A little way off was a little brook, rushing and sparkling along between green banks.
The views there were surpassingly beautiful-the warm sunshine, the fresh air, the clear water. We sat on the grass, hooked by the splendid nature
I can well remember that there was a time when deep blue sky, the song of the birds, moonlight and flowers could never have kept me spellbound
That day was so unforgettable that it would stay in my memory forever.
Only then did I realize that it was bravery that can conquer whatever difficulty came in the way.
It was this unique experience that made me understand whatever difficulty we are faced with (= we may face), we mustn’t give up our hope.
Finally, we did sth. What an unforgettable experience! It turns out that there’s
always a way out of any plight as long as we stay calm.
