本课时的教学内容是人教版七年级下册英语第七单元的第一课时,重点在于引导学生通过表示世界各地天气状况的主题图片,理解small talks的语境,以谈论天气的话题,引导学生学习表示天气的形容词和how开头的询问天气的特殊疑问句及其回答的句型。运用有显著特征的世界著名城市的建筑物图片和天气状况图片引起学生的兴趣和注意,进行听、说活动,训练学生的听力和口语表达能力。因此,教师可以将本课时的知识目标定为掌握新出现的表示天气情况的形容词及raining、snowing。学会以打电话的形式谈论两个城市的天气情况的句型。情感目标定为通过话题的学习、训练,引起学生对世界各地气候差异感兴趣和关注。

任务型教学法,口语交际法,小组合作学习,创设情景和有意义的任务活动,激发学生的学习热情,吸引学生的注意力,使学生在具体的语言环境中感知并运用目标语言,达到学以致用。

2.Enjoy a video with students.
Teacher asks students, “What is she doing ” Help students answer “She is forecasting the weather.” Then ask again “How can we describe the weather ” Now let’s listen to a song about the weather.
After listening to the song, ask students, “Can you remember the words and the sentences about the weather Now let’s list them.
(Then show the pictures of the weather icons.And teach the new words.)

StepⅡ.New words (1a)
1.Use pictures or weather icons to present the new words of weather.
Show the pictures/icons of different weather to teach the new words.
T: Look at the sun! How’s the weather It’s sunny.
The teacher writes the word “sun” and “sunny” on the blackboard and teaches the words.Then show other pictures and help the students to learn the new words.
Write them on the blackboard.Ss read and say the words, sun, sunny/cloud, cloudy/rain, raining/snow, snowing/wind, windy.
2.Play a game:
Show the pictures about weather one by one quickly,then let students say out the new words .
Find out who is the fastest.
2.The teacher shows the pictures again and gets the students to ask and answer these questions in turn:
A: How’s the weather in picture 1
B: It’s sunny.How’s the weather in picture 2
A: It’s cloudy.
3.Get the class to read the word list in 1a and match the words with the pictures in 1a by themselves.Then ask them to report the weather in each picture to check their work.
T: Please say a complete sentence for each picture.For example, “It’s raining in picture a.”
Ask some students to say the sentences.All the others check their matching job.
Remind the students that the word “sunny” comes from the word “sun” and other words.
4.Play a game to guess what’s the weather like. Get one student to perform the weather activities and have others guess how’s the weather, asking:

S1: No, it isn’t.
Then the students guess again.

运用方面:学生渐渐适应了教师用英语授课,学生能就本话题进行自由交谈,并能将所学知识与实际生活相结合,实现英语学习的生活化目标。

本节课的成功之处在于整合了教材,调整了教材顺序,借助ppt和视频,创设比较真实的语言环境,让学生在情境中感知体验所学内容,并在情境中学以致用。另一点在教学过程中善于抓住学生的注意力,关注全体学生,学生的参与面广,基本上每一个学生都有表现的机会,并对学生的表现给予及时的评价。对所学内容能当堂达标,及时检测。学生对所学知识也能进行归纳总结。
当然,本节课也有不足的地方,训练形式稍显单一,在学生做Weather Report时,教师的指令不够明确,示范的效果不够明朗。在今后的教学中,要加强备课,多备学生,优化课堂教学,提高课堂教学效率。在设计教学环节时,要尽量创设比较真实的、贴近学生实际的语言环境,让学生在语境中感知体验并运用。
