5.目的状语从句
（1）“so that”以便，目的是”
=in order that ，引导目的状语从句。
Speak clearly so that （in order that)
everybody can understand you.
We left early so that (in order that) we
could catch the first train.
（2）当主句用一般现在时，现在完成时，一般将来时的时候，so that, in order that后面从句中通常含有may，can，will
当主句用一般过去时，过去完成时，过去进行时的时候，
so that, in order that后面从句中通常含有might, could, would.
（3）so that与so…that的区别
so that “目的是…；为了…”

注意：in order to 后接动词原形
I told him about it in order to help you.
