He became famous in 1987 when his novel Red Sorghum was made into a film by Zhang Yimou. Many people like reading his books maybe because his words always tell about real life. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2012.
I like his books because his words remind me of life in the country and make me feel comfortable. I also like him, because he is not only knowledgeable but also modest.
