2.talk about their favorite food, including its appearance, smell, taste, ways of cooking and a particular experience associated with it;
3.compose an article about their favorite food.

Activity 1: Free talk
Talk about the following questions about their favourite food .
What is your favourite food
Can you introduce something about it
Activity 2: Listening
Listen to the announcement and answer the questions on page 8..
Activity 3: Reading
Read the articles carefully and pay attention to the descriptions of food.
Look Smell Taste Feel
Mooncakes
Tiramisu
Analyze the structure of the passage.
Introduction: State clearly what your favourite food is.
Experience: Mention experiences of tasting it,especially for the first time.
Characteristics: Describe the characteristics of the food (appearance, smell, feeling, taste and way of cooking).
Conclusion: Include the association between the food and a particular experience/ feeling.
The structure like this:
Introduction: Of all the foods I’ve ever tried. My favorite food is .../... is one of my personal favorites.
Experience: I first/ once tried ...
Characteristics: It looks/smells/tastes/feels ... (smelly, bitter, sweet, salty, juicy,
creamy, silky, smooth, soft, crisp ...)
Conclusion: It reminds me of the days when ... How can I forget such a ...
Therefore,... is always my favourite food not only because of ... but also because it reminds me of ...
Introduction:
在我吃的所有食物中，北京烤鸭是我最喜欢的。
