Passage 1
The Chang’e 5 robotic probe (探测器) has become China’s first spaceship to bring the country’ national flag to the Moon.
The scene of the Five Starred Red Flag against the dark sky on the grey lunar surface was taken by a camera on the Chang’e 5 robotic probe’s lander and then sent to the ground control. In Chang’e 3 and 4 tasks, the national flag was painted on the spaceship. Therefore, the flag carried by Chang’e 5 is the first Chinese national flag that has been planted on the Moon.
The system to raise the flag was designed and produced by engineers at China Space Sanjing Group in Hubei Province. It has three parts.
Because of the strong radiation (辐射) and the terrible temperatures on the Moon,we couldn’t use traditional fabrics (面料). If we place an ordinary flag on the Moon, its colors will quickly become lighter. Designers spent more than one year choosing and testing ideal materials, and finally picked a new kind of material that can resist the very difficult conditions on the Moon.
( )1. The Chang’e 5 brought the flag outside the space.
( )2. The scene of the national flag was taken by a smartphone.

Builders worked hours a day and they worked very fast. They built the hospitals in two weeks.
根据第二段最后一句“The two hospitals have a big capacity(容量) and one of them has room for 1,600 beds.
短文倒数第二段里的句子“... and over 30,000 medical workers, came to help the city.

They are strict with their children.

Sort trash, save Earth
You might not think much about where your garbage(垃圾) goes. But now you might want to know. On July 1, 2019, Shanghai introduced a new garbage-sorting(垃圾分类) policy(政策). People there need to put different kinds of garbage into different bins(垃圾箱). Other cities in China will do the same soon.
Why is garbage sorting a big problem It’s because there is too much garbage these days. It is bad for our soil(土壤), air and water. Actually we can make use of some garbage again. And first, we need to sort our garbage.
For example, if you put an old battery(电池) into the “harmful waste” bin, people can use it to make new batteries. But if you don’t, the battery will end up somewhere else. Then, it will pollute the environment .
Can’t factories sort garbage for us Yes, they can. But it takes many workers to do this and costs lots of money. If we all sort our own garbage, things will become much easier.
Four kinds of garbage in Shanghai.
Recyclable garbage includes paper, books, boxes, newspapers, and glass bottles.
Harmful garbage includes lamps, batteries, nail polish(指甲油), and other things with harmful chemicals(化学物质).
Wet garbage usually comes from the kitchen, such as food, vegetables, flowers, leaves, and eggshells(蛋壳).

Each year there are at least five million people around the world who develop serious flu(流感), and almost half a million deaths. When someone we know gets the flu virus(病毒), we expect them to be very careful not to pass it onto others. Doctors and nurses working with flu patients also need to protect themselves from the virus. But what is the best way to do this This is the question that Professor Jonathan Van?Tam is trying to answer. He wants to find out how flu is transmitted(传播), so that he can stop doctors and nurses getting sick.
Since 2008, Van?Tam has been in charge of an international group studying how the flu virus travels. For the first time, 41 volunteers agreed to live together. They lived in a clinic(诊所) in Cambridgeshire for two weeks, where they came into contact with the flu virus.
Van?Tam explains their methods. “Everyone lives together in the small space for four days. Some wear face masks, and wash hands every 15 minutes, but some have no protection. In this way we can study who catches the flu and which ways of transmitting flu are important.”
The experiment(试验) is not simple. At the moment the team are working on three studies. Van?Tam believes that if this type of study works well, the results will help decide what protection people need working in hospitals with flu patients around the world. And perhaps it could decline the number of deaths from flu each year.
