教材分析 The theme of this lesson is "understanding the usage of Ellipsis in English". Through language learning, students can understand the effect of using ellipsis in their daily English use. Omission is also common in English. Ellipsis is a grammatical means to avoid repetition, highlight new information, and closely relate to context. As long as it does not damage the structure or cause ambiguity, the place that can be omitted can be omitted. This part helps students to experience the effect of using ellipsis through language learning activities at different levels. There are many kinds of ellipsis in English, including omitting the subject, predicate or object of the predicate, omitting the subject and object in the sentence and so on. Three activities are designed in the text. Activity 2 asks students to delete redundant elements in sentences to make sentences concise. Activity 3 of the text is a dialogue. The purpose is to let students pay attention to the ellipsis in the informal dialogue and find out the omissions in the dialogue, so as to experience the effect of using ellipsis in the dialogue. In the three activities of the text, the context design is gradually enriched and the difficulty is gradually increased.
