【学生分析】
学生在Module2中已经 学习了Sam 一家野餐的故事,对本课的故事有了一定的了解。因此在本课的学习中,他们需要小组合作共同完成把所学的故事由现在时转化为过去时即可。 六年级的学生应学会小组合作并且能够归纳所学的内容。教学中为了能够形象、生动、活泼、有趣,我们将采取小组竞赛的形式来开展。树立他们的自信,并使他们真正成为学习的主人。【教材分析】
语言功能:用英语描述过去发生的事情。
语言结构:I took some photos. I had a very funny day.
【教学目标】
a.语言知识目标:学习目标语句had a funny day; had a picnic ;took photos ;
b.语言技能目标:能运用所学语言描述过去所发生的事情。
c.情感态度目标:激发学生学习英语的兴趣及运用英语交流的热情,使学生在学习中建立自信,提高学生参与语言活动的积极性。尤其培养高年级学生小组合作精神及整理归纳的能力。
【教学重点】
1. 学习课文中信件内容,能读并理解信的内容。
2. 对课文中出现的重点词句的掌握及运用:took some photos ;had a funny day; there was; went to the park; went home
【教学难点】
1. 学会动词由现在时向过去时转化的过程。 
【教学准备】
卡片、磁带、录音机、课件
【教学过程】
Step 1 Greetings
1. The teacher and students to greet each other.
2. Then do some warm up activities.
Step 2: Lead in
1. Give the students some words of two groups and ask them to match them.

2. After discussing they can show their answers in the front.
c. Please give the past form of the phrases above, and after discussing in groups we will check it together.

Step 3 Listen and read
1. At first, review the story of Module 2 by asking them some questions.
2. Then show students the letter, and let them find out who write this letter
3. Then let students to read the text by themselves and find out the answers of the questions on the board.
4. Then check the answers and play the tape let students to read after the tape.
5. Then let students to find out the past-tense verbs and let them to write down the base form on their books.
Step 4 Practice
Try to use the following words to finish a short passage and then come to the front to read them out. They can do it in groups.

EX: Last Sunday I went to the shop with my parents. My mum bought me a kite and then we went to a park to fly it. On the way there we met my friend Daming. He waved to say hello to me and we asked him to go together. What a funny day we had!
