一、概述：
英语中的形容词和副词常用三种形式来表达事物的等级差别，即原级、比较级和最高级。
原级：没有比较含义，“……”；
比较级：两者间比较，“更……”；
最高级：三者及三者以上比较，“最……”。
规则变化
①直接加 -er 或 -est

②以不发音的字母e结尾的单词直接加 -r 或 -st
③以“辅音字母+-y”结尾的重读闭音节词，把y
变为i，再加 -er 或- est

三、比较级的用法
1. 两者间的比较：A＋谓语动词＋比较级＋than＋B
A比B更……
Lily is shorter than her sister.
2. 同一范围内的比较：A+谓语动词+比较级+than any
other +B（可数名词单数）= A+谓语动词+比较级
+than the other +B（可数名词复数），表示最高级的
含义。
A比其他任何一个B都……
翻译句子，并写出同义句。
我父亲是我们家最高的。

3. the＋比较级，the＋比较级，表示一方的程度随着另
一方的变化而变化。越……，越……

4. 比较级＋and＋比较级/ more and more＋形容词/副
词原级。越来越……

5. 主语＋谓语动词＋the＋比较级＋of the two…，是特
指的情况。
两者之间较……的那个

6. Who/Which＋谓语动词＋比较级，A or B 表示两
者之间进行比较
谁/哪一个更……，A还是B？

注意
①比较的对象必须一致，为避免重复，常用that或
those代替前面的名词。
②在上文意思明确的情况下，可以单独使用“a/an+比
较级+one”，意为“又一/再一更……的”。
③比较级前可用much, a lot, a little, a bit, even, far等修
饰，用来加强语气或表示程度。
四、最高级的用法
1. the＋最高级＋in/of… ……中最……
Greenland is the biggest island in the world.
2. one of＋the＋形容词最高级＋可数名词复数
最……的……之一
Fishing is one of the most popular activities among the middle-aged men like my uncles.
3. the+序数词+形容词最高级+可数名词单数+in/of…
