few 修饰复数可数名词，意为“几乎没有”，表示否定意义。very few 意为“非常少”。
a few 修饰复数可数名词，意为“一些”，表示肯定意义。only a few ＝ just a few，意为“仅一些”；quite a few意为“很多”，相当于many。

Pronouncing the – ed
Many verbs in the simple past tense end in the letters -ed.
Do you know how many ways of pronouncing this ending there are
The ways of pronouncing-ed:
-ed pronounces /t/ after the voiceless consonants.
-ed pronounces /d/ after the voiced consonants and vowels.
-ed pronounces / d/ after the sounds /t/ and /d/.
