Language Notes
(1) try既可作名词又可作动词,意为“尝试,试用”。作动词时可单独使用,也可接名词,动词不定式或动词的--ing形式,try to do sth.试图或尽力做某事,try doing sth.试着做某事,try one’s best to do sth.尽某人最大努力做某事
(2) asleep, sleep, go to bed
asleep形容词,“瞅着的”
Sleep作动词,“睡,睡觉”常用于短语go to sleep
go to bed是个动词短语,只表示“上床睡觉”这一一动作,无“睡着”之意,它的对应词组为get up

句中的 either 意思是“也(不)”。
例如:
— I can’t swim. 我不会游泳。
— I can’t swim either. 我也不会游泳。

试比较:

— I can swim. 我会游泳。
— I can swim too. 我也会游泳。
由此看出,表示肯定意思的“也”,
在句末用 too,而否定句中则用 either。
