Step 1 Warming up

Danny’s Week He had appendicitis. The doctor took it out. Now they are both getting much better. We should try hard to form good habits so that we can stay healthy and stay away from the hospital.
After his appendix was taken out, he slept all day. He felt terrible and very sleepy. He didn’t want to eat, but he was very thirsty.
The doctor told him to drink plenty of water and have a good rest. So he stayed in bed and rested.
Wang Mei’s Day Wang Mei also had a bad day. One of her teeth was rotten. She had to go to the dentist.

either 用于否定句 置于句末 I don’t like swimming either.我也不喜欢游泳。
too 用于肯定句，也可用于一般疑问句 置于句末 He is good at English too. 他也擅长英语。
as well 用于肯定句 置于句末 My brother runs fast as well.我哥哥跑步也很快。
also 用于肯定句 置于句中，位于系动词be、助动词、情态动词的后面，实义动词的前面 I also like reading. 我也喜欢读书。

take out意为“切除；摘除；带走”,为动副短语, 代词作其宾语时,要放在动词与副词中间; 如果名词作宾语,则放在短语中间或短语之后都可以。

plenty of意为“很多；充足的”，可修饰可数名词复数或不可数名词。

（2）mention 动词，意为“提到；写到（某人或某事）” ，其后常接名词、代词、动词-ing形式或that/wh-从句；常用结构：mention sth. to sb. 向某人提到某事。

so that意为“以便,为了”,用来引导目的状语从句,常和can, could, may, might等情态动词连用。so that还可用来引导结果状语从句,意为“结果,因此”。

今天早上我起床早，因此赶上了第一班公交车。
【拓展】“so…that…”意为“如此……以至于……”,so后接形容词或副词原级，that后引导结果状语从句。
