Teaching and Learning Goals:
Get the students to use the numbers to talk about the prices of things freely and fluently in oral English using the target language.

Step One Revision ,warming up and leading in
Revision: Ask some pairs to act out the conversation in Section A, 3b.
like this:
A:. How much is the hat? B: It’s five dollars
A:How much are the socks? B: They’re three dollars
2. Warming up: Get the students to count the numbers from one to ten loudly. And list them down.
3. Leading in: Let some able students list some new numbers. Then teach the new words with the help of pictures.

Step Two. Listening leading in
1. Let the students look at the numbers in 1a for 3 minutes. Then close the books and play the tape. for students to listen and repeat.
2. Pairwork. Talk about the numbers. ( Section B, 1b ) and write them down.Then ask a few students to say something about them:(Which rows of numbers are in the wrong places?)

二.结论:
1)one到twelve, 拼写和读音无规律可言, 只能逐一记忆。
2) thirteen到nineteen,表示“十几”,在个位数后加后缀-teen,其中要注意thirteen, fifteen和eighteen的拼写。
3) twenty到ninety,表示“几十”,以ty结尾,但需注意twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, eighty的拼写。
4) 21~29 直到91~99,表示“几十几”,用整十位数加个位表示, 中间用连字符“-” 把十位和个位连接起来。
