Teaching aims (教学目标)
  1.掌握表示天气情况的词语。
2.能够谈论天气,表达自己的情感。
3. 描述正在发生的事情或动作。

1. 词汇:weather windy cloudy raining??????

2. 句型:How’s the weather?
It’s raining/windy/cloudy/sunny/snowing.
Important anddifficult points (教学重难点)
1. 描述天气及对天气提问。How’s the weather? It’s raining/windy/cloudy/sunny/snowing/.
2. 所学形容天气的词汇。
3. 能用现在进行时(present progressive tense)的各种形式进行准确的描述和表达正在发生的动作。
Emotion attitude and values
1)通过课文教学引导学生关注天气情况,爱护环境,保护大气等自然资源的良好意识。
2)通过学习打招呼、谈论天气和所做的事时所用的交际用语,学会与人友好相处。
3)通过学习和对比不同天气背景下人的活动,激发学生的内在情感,进行爱的教育。
4)能在小组活动中积极与他人合作,得到帮助,共同完成学习任务,培养合作精神。Cultural awareness:
A new way of greetings and asking about the weather is quite a common greeting in western countries.
Teaching steps (教学步骤)
1. Warm-up and revision(课堂热身和复习)
(1)Daily greetings to Ss: Ask the Ss randomly: What’s the date today? What day is it today? How are you?
(2) Revision (复习):Review the date.引入天气的话题。
T:What’s the date today? S1:It’s ....
2. Presentation (呈现新知识)
T:Yes,right.So it’s in spring. The weather is good today. Look at the sun/cloud/rain/wind/snow. How’s the weather today? It’s sunny/cloudy/rainy/windy/snowy.
(Help them to understand the new words and how to use them to describe the weather.)

3. Work on 1a (完成1a)
(1) Match the words with the pictures by themselves.
(2) Talk about the pictures with Ss using the target language.
A: How is the weather in …?
B:It’s sunny/rainy/cloudy/windy/snowing.
【教学设计说明】通过1a的练习,使学生进一步学会运用新单词。和学生一起谈论图片,目的在于引导学生学会使用描述天气的两个基本句型:
4. Work on 1b (完成1b)
Listen and write the city names. (创设语境导入听力内容。Mr Green is a businessman..Next week he’s travelling around the world for business.He is going to Beijing, Moscow, Toronto, Boston and Shanghai. How is the weather there? Can you help him make note? 接着,让学生听录音,记笔记。)
【教学设计说明】此环节着重是听力训练。让学生在听对话的过程中抓住关键词汇,由于前面已做了一些训练,因此学生听起来比较容易,让他们都有一次成功的喜悦和感受,这样可以增强他们的学习自信心。
5. Work on 1c (完成1c)
(1)A: Hi! How’s the weather in Beijing?
B: It’s sunny.
(2) Ask some pairs to present their conversation to the class.
【教学设计说明】此环节是让学生运用所学句型来进行操练,有利于巩固所学句型。
6. Drill (练习)
Ask some Ss to repeat the conversation and change the words used.
(第一轮应提问成绩较好的学生,第二轮提问成绩较差的学生)
How is the weather in …?It’s sunny/rainy/cloudy/windy/snowing.
【教学设计说明】此环节为机械操练,使不同层次学生初步掌握目标语言。机械操练是英语初始阶段教学必不可缺的部分,学生要先从模仿到初步掌握,最后才能熟练应用。机械操练时应注意着重提问成绩较差的学生,由于机械操练比较简单,因此是激发后进生兴趣,培养后进生自信的一个很好的途径。
7. Work on 2a & 2b (完成2a和2b)
(1)Describe the pictures.(依次为cooking,calling,watching TV,playing computer games,playing basketball)
(2)Listen and number the pictures.
(3)Check Ss’ answers. (2,3,4,1)
(4)T: Please look at 2b. Listen again, and match the names with the activities.

8. Work on 2c (完成2c)
Have Ss get into pairs and talk about the picture.
A: What’s Uncle Joe doing?
B: He’s playing basketball.
【教学设计说明】此环节既能充分练习学生的目标语言,使学生学以致用,同时也能极大的调动学生们的课堂参与。
9. Homework (课后作业)
Oral: 1. 朗读并熟记单词和句子。
2. 练习所学的对话。
