Unit 6 Lesson 1
My Home
设计理念:
根据新课程标准,在小学阶段培养学生英语学习的兴趣,以学生为主体、教师为主导的指导思想。并结合高效课堂“以学定教、自主合作”的教学理念来设计本课。
本课主要围绕家里的房间的六个单词及询问回答某人在哪里的句型。在教学中接续“三只小猪”的故事情节,描述小猪盖新房子都盖了哪些房间,在此过程中通过对比说句子、说绕口令、说韵句、找不同、捉迷藏等活动或游戏,最大程度发挥学生主体性,激发学生的学习兴趣,培养学生之间的合作精神,晚上和发展学说的综合能力。本节课中所学到的单词都是学生在日常生活中常见到的事物,学过之后学生可以照样子描述自己的家。
教材分析:
My Home 的第一课时是小学英语三年级下册第六单元的第一课,本课时主要是学习家里的六个房间的名词,并询问某人在哪个房间。在之前的第四、五单元讲授的内容是家庭成员和家里的活动,本单元的内容顺承了前面的知识,学生会感到比较亲切。
学情分析:
本课的教学对象是学过两年半英语的三年级学生,有一定的基础,此阶段学生天真活泼、好奇心强,有较强的模仿能力和求知欲望,而且富有一定的逻辑思维能力,对英语的喜欢已经初步体现出个性;他们善于大胆地表现自己,善于在日常生活中运用所学的英语。
教学目标:
1. 知识目标:
能够听、说、认读有关家和房间的单词和短语:home,bedroom,living room,bathroom,dining room,study,kitchen,尝试用学过的语言来描述上述单词、短语。
2.能力目标:
用学过的功能句:Where is …?询问某人在哪里,并能用He/She is in …进行回答,提高学生的口语表达能力和交际能力。
3.情感目标:
通过本课的学习,培养学生对家的热爱。
教学准备:
1. PPT课件。
2. 关于房间的图片。
教学重点:
1. 熟练认读有关家和房间的单词。
2. 熟练使用本课句子进行问答,与同伴交流。
教学难点:
1. bathroom和bedroom的正确发音。
2. 熟练地认读单词。
3. 熟练使用本课句子进行问答。
教学过程:
(一)热身复习 文化感知
设计意图: 通过“三只小猪”的故事引出本课课题,并奠定本课的通篇线索。
T:First, come and meet some friends. Please watch the cartoon and then answer the questions. Who can read the questions (S1&2 read.)
Ss watch the cartoon.
T:Now do you have answers (Ss answer)
(According to the ss’ answers, sum to the answer) T:The house is too small. So they are going to have a new home.
T:Read the new word “home”. (ss repeat.)
Today we’re going to learn Unit 6 My Home.(stick the title)
T:Come and read the story with me. What are the little pigs going to do first
(二)话题推进 学习新知
设计意图: 通过依次介绍小猪盖的房子以文本阅读的方式呈现新单词,通过各种小组活动,进行有梯度的单词操练。
Step1:学习bedroom和bathroom
(After reading the paragraph) T:Here are two new words “bedroom” and “bathroom”. Can you say the sentences
Ss: A bed is in the bedroom. A bath is in the bathroom.
Analysis the character of the pronunciations, esp. “dr” and “th”. A few ss practice saying.
Can you talk about the pictures Discuss in your teams. (Ss report and say)
“… is in the bedroom and … is in the bathroom.”
Step2: 学习kitchen 和 dining room
T:What about F F is in the … Yes, it’s in the kitchen. Do the little pigs have a kitchen Let’s read. (Ss listen and read para 2)
Here we also have two new words “kitchen” and “dining room”
Try to read the word “kitchen”, ki~ki~ki, tchen~tchen~tchen, kitchen~ kitchen~ kitchen~ (a few ss read)
Do you know the word “chicken” They are similar to each other.
T:I can say a tongue twister. (with hands’ gesture) Kitchen and chicken. Chicken and kitchen. Who can say (S1&2 say) Can you say together (Ss say together.) I can say faster. Can you say faster/faster/faster
The little pigs cook chicken in the kitchen. It’s delicious. Where do they eat (They eat in the dining room.) Yes. They eat in the dining room. Dining room comes from “dine”. “Dine” means “用餐”. Can you read the word (S1 reads) Can you repeat (S2 repeats) Can you read with the phrase (S3 reads) And with the sentence (S4 reads) Who do you see (S5 reads) What is he doing (S6 reads) Now say the chant in your teams. (follow the drum beats)
Can you change the chant with other animals
Step3: 学习study 和 living room
T:The little pigs like eating. They also love reading. Let’s go on reading the story. (Ss listen and read para 3)
T:What do they need (Ss: They need a study.)
Practise reading the word. And say: I have a computer. I can work in the study. What about you
Ss discuss in teams. Ss talk about the topic.
What else can we do We can run in the study. Yes or no We can play football in the study. No. We should keep quiet in the study. And we can …
Can you read the sentence “I can study in the study.” Here are two red words. Are they the same (Ss say the differences.)
The little pigs study in the study. They watch TV in the … (living room).
Practise saying the word.
I can see a big TV in the living room. Can you There are two living rooms. Are they the same
I say the sentence and you tell me where it is.
I can see a … (Ss: It’s in living room A/B.) (Repeat the process for twice.)
What can you see Now find the differences in your teams. This paper may help you.
(S1 takes charge of the activity.)
(三)语用实践 巩固新知
设计意图: 在之前习得本课单词的基础上,运用游戏、阅读的方式引入句子、操练单词,不只在口头上练习生词,也能提高学生的阅读能力。
Step1:复习本课单词。
T:The little pigs build a new home. What rooms do they have (Review the words.)
Step2:问答练习“小动物捉迷藏”
T:One day the little pigs’ friends come to visit them. Who are they They are …
They play hide and seek. Where are they
Where is the … (S1 answers.) Why do you think so (S1 explains.)
Now ask and answer in teams. Find the other animals.
Step3:巩固阅读“哪一个是小猪的新家?”
T:The three little pigs love their new home very much. They take a photo of some new houses. Which one is their new home
(四)综合拓展 激活语言
设计意图: 通过说一说学生自己的家,顺承了上面的语言,学生也可以用自己的话来说,打开了思维,发挥想象力。
T:Now here is the last paragraph of the story. (Ss listen.)
Look, boys and girls. This is my home. It is nice and clean. I have two bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, a living room and a bathroom. It is small. But I love it.
Can you say something about your home Now talk about it in your teams.
Ss talk about their own homes.
(五)总结评价 作业夯实
设计意图: 接续上面的Free talk活动,学生写一写自己的家,发散思维,还可以练笔。
T:Well done, boys and girls! You did a great job. For your homework. Please write about your home.
