Teaching Procedures:
Step 1 Warning up
Free talk: What are you going to buy for your mother on Mother’s Day
Step 2 Task One
Do activity 1: Where can you buy presents What can you buy in the market, supermarket and clothes shop
Step 3 Task Two: Do activity 2: listen and answer
Ask the students to read the questions first. Play the recording and tell them to write down their answers in the book.
Step 4 Task Three: Do activity 3: listen and answer
Step 5 Task Four: Underline the key phrases in the book.
Step 6 Task Five: Read and understand the text.
Let the students watch the flash of the text first, then read after the flash once, and translate it into Chinese
Step7 Task four: Role play
Ask students to read the text individually for five minutes. Then choose some students to display their performance.
Step 8 Sum up and give some remarks on their performance.
