open 开着的,营业的,办公的,敞开的,开阔的
e.g. He slept in the room with the window open last night.
His coat was open. 他的大衣敞开着。
2、Why can’t we take photos 我们为什么不能拍照?
take photos“照相”。也用take pictures,还可以用take a photo (=take a picture)来表达“拍照,照相”
e.g. We took some photos in the zoo. 我们在动物园里拍了一些照片。
其他拍照的说法:take a photo of sb. 给某人拍照,
e.g. I had my photos taken in front of Tian’an men Square.我请人在天安门广场前拍了几张照片。
3、It’s nearly noon. 将近正午了。
nearly adv. “几乎,差不多,将近” nearly 和almost都表示“几乎,差不多”,在多数情况下,两者之间没有什么差别。一般来说,almost表达的程度比nearly更接近一些 。
e.g. The wind was so strong that people were nearly blown away as they waited for buses.
风刮得很厉害,等候公共汽车的人们几乎要被风吹走。
We were late, and almost missed the train. 我们迟到了,差点误了那趟火车。
4、Wake up, Mr. Bear! 醒醒,熊先生!
wake up 唤醒,弄醒
e.g. My mother wakes me up at six every morning. 妈妈每天早上在6点钟叫醒我。
What time did you wake up this morning 你今天早上几点起床的?
5、Maybe the pandas could eat some grass instead of bamboo. 也许熊猫可以吃些草来代替竹子。
instead of作为短语介词,意为“代替”,后面常接名词、代词和V-ing形式。instead单独使用的时候作副词用,常位于句末。
e.g. If I hadn’t got a cold, I’d be working instead of lying here in bed. 如果我没有感冒,我就会一直工作,而不是躺在床上。
