“I can’t find my glasses. Where are they ”

“Are they in the box ” asked Lily.
Grandma went to the kitchen and opened the box,
“No, they aren’t.”

“Are they under the book ” asked Lily.
Grandma went to the bookshelf and searched around,
“No, they aren’t.”

“Are they behind the clock ” asked Lily.
Grandma went to the table and said,
“No, they aren’t.”

“Are they under the bed ” asked Lily.
Grandma went to the bedroom and bent down,
“No, they aren’t.”

Lily stepped out of her study and helped grandma look for the glasses.
“Look! They are on your nose.” Lily pointed at grandma’s nose and laughed.

“Oh yes! So they are.” said grandma.

他们在盒子里吗？
No, they aren’t.
不，它们不在。
“in the box” 在盒子内部，注意这里的介词的使用。以及后面的 “on”, “under”, “behind” 这几个方位名词的具体意思。

So are they. 它们也是。
如 ：
So+倒装语序,表示“也”.
例如：We are students, so are they.
我们是学生,他们也是.
So+正常语序,表示强调,加强.
例如：
They are very lovely！
他们很可爱!
So they are!
是啊!
