Step1. What does the man do What is the girl’s job Is he a policeman Is she a nurse Step3. Listening Ask the students to listen to the tape and complete Part A2. Get some students to tell the answers. Correct their Revise the future tense Talk and learn the new words Listen and complete Check the answers Listen and complete
mistakes. Step4. Write Get the students to go through the passage quickly. Listen to Wendy again and help Millie complete her notes below. Check the answers together.
Step5. Practice Play the tape for the students to listen and tell the followings “true” or “false” Daniel likes computer. Millie is going to be a computer engineer. Sandy is going to be an art teacher. Amy is going to be a doctor. Simon is going to be basketball star. Play the tape for the students to listen and repeat Work in groups and talk about what they are going to do. Use the conversation below as a model. Then ask the students to make the dialogue. Get some groups to act it out in the class. Explain the language points elder adj.&n. 年纪较长的；年长者 辨析elder与older的用法区别： elder和older都是old的比较级，意思都是“岁数较大、年龄较长”，但用法有些区别。elder只用于人，多指兄弟姐妹之间年龄长幼中的“长”，只用作定语，不用作表语，也不能与than连用。A lot of elder people don’t like pop music. 许多年纪大的人不喜欢流行音乐。older可用于人或物，用于人时，指实际年龄大小中的“大”；用于物，意为“较旧的”，既可用定语、表语，也可与than连用。 I am two years older than my brother. 我比我弟弟大两岁。 Step6.
