宾语从句的定义
1.宾语的定义：
动作、行为的承受者，一般放在及物动词或者介词之后。名词、代词、不定式和动名词都可作宾语。
2.宾语从句的定义：
在句子中充当宾语的从句就是宾语从句。两要素：一是宾语；二是从句。
宾语从句的分类
1.that引导的宾语从句
（1）及物动词，常是表示知道、相信、理解和认为的词，如know/believe/understand/think等，之后可带that宾从。
（2）有些形容词. 如 sure, happy, glad, certain 等，之后可带that宾从。（易遗漏）
2.if/whether引导的宾语从句
（1）及物动词，常是表示询问、思考或发现的词，如ask/say/wonder/find out，之后可带if/whether引导的宾从。
3.特殊疑问词引导的宾语从句
（1）及物动词后可带特殊疑问词引导的宾从。（特殊疑问词包括who，whom，whose，which，what，where，how，why，when等）
宾语从句的考点
考点1：宾语从句的时态：（主现从不限, 主过从必过,真理永一现）
1.1如果主句是现在时态，从句的时态根据实际情况而定。
1.2如果主句是过去时态，那么从句要用相应的过去的具体状态。
1.3从句是客观真理不论主句是何种时态，从句都用一般现在时。
注意Could you tell me...中could不表示过去时，只表示委婉语气。
考点2：宾语从句的语序 重要程度 ★★★★
2.1疑问句通常是疑问语序，即助动词、be动词、情态动词在主语之前。陈述句通常是陈述语序，即主语之后为be动词、情态动词和实意动词。但who、what、which作主语时，特殊疑问句的语序仍为陈述句语序。
2.2中考常考的陈述句语序的疑问句有：
Which is the way to the post office
What’s in the box
Who went to the park
Which man is your brother
What’s wrong/matter with you
What happened to you
考点3：连接词
3.1连接词的含义 重要程度 ★★★★★
①that宾从，表示某一件事实
②if/whether+陈述句的结构，常表示一个疑问的事，即用来表达一个yes/no问题。
③who，whom，whose，which，what，where，how，why，when+陈述句的结构，表示这些疑问词的意思
3.2连接词的区分
（1）that引导的宾语从句 VS if或whether引导的宾语从句VS 特殊疑问词
从句 做不做成分 有没有意义 可不可省
that引导的宾语从句 陈述句（肯定或否定） 不做 没有 可省
if或whether引导的宾语从句 一般疑问句 不做 有意义，“是否” 不可省

（2）关于if和whether的选用
1.能用whether不能用if的几种情况：
①宾语从句中有or not时（意思为“或不是”，“或没有”），则用whether…or not；
②在介词后；
③whether 后可接动词不定式；
2.能用if不能用whether的情况：
If除了表示“是否”引导宾语从句外，还可表示“如果”，引导条件状语从句，此时从句遵守“主将从现”原则
3.3难点：how和what的区分
先看两道例题
①I don’t know ______ I can do.（how or what）
②I don’t know _______I can do it.（how or what）
在第一个句子中，宾语从句主语为I，谓语动词为can do，从句缺少宾语，用what。第二个句子中，句子不缺基本成分，用how，表示做事的方式。这两个句子都可以转换成“疑问词+to do sth”的结构。
这两道题目其实代表了两类题目，一类是缺少成分的，要用疑问代词who, whom, what, which, whose；另一类是不缺少成分的要用疑问副词when, where, why, how。
另外，how与deal with搭配，what与do with搭配。例：
I don’t know how I should deal with the problem.
I don’t know what I should do with the problem.
