I. Teaching contents:
外研社新标准小学英语三年级下册Module 8 Unit 1It’s on your desk.
II. Teaching aims:
1. Knowledge aims:
1) All the students should be able to understand and say the words: under, behind, box.
2) Most of the students should be able to say the words: for, bedroom.
3) All the students should be able to imitate the dialogue and say the key sentences “It’s in/on/under/behind...”
2. Ability aims:
1) To improve students’ ability of listening, reading and speaking.
2) Most of the students should be able to describe the position with “It’s in/on/under/behind...” in the real situation.
3. Emotion aims:
1) Cultivate students to form a good habit of keeping their rooms clean and tidy.
2) Cultivate students' awareness of competition and cooperation.
III. Key points and the difficult points:
1.Key points:
1) All the students should be able to understand and say the words: under, behind, box.
2) All the students should be able to imitate the dialogue and say the key sentences “It’s in/on/under/behind...”
2. Difficult points: Most of the students should be able to describe the position with “It’s in/on/under/behind...”

E-pen, cards, PPT etc.
VI. Teaching procedures:
Step1. Warming up
1. Greeting.
2. The teacher will show a present box and divide students into eight groups. Then encourage them to get more stickers.
T: It’s a present box. It’s also a music box. Let’s listen!
3. Ask students to enjoy the song and sing the song : Please stand up.(Purpose: Make students relax and review some knowledge learnt.)
Step2. Presentation
1. “I say, you do!”
T: Point to the blackboard.
Point to .... Point to the box. (Learn the new word: box)
T: Where is the box The teacher will ask students to answer.
T:What’s in the box
Ss: It’s a cake.
T:Where is the cake
Ss: It’s on /in the box.
2. Show a picture of another cake and ask students a question: Whose birthday is it today Ask students to watch the video and choose.
(Purpose: Lead students to have a general idea of the text.)
3. Ask students to listen and circle the sentences with “in, on, under, behind.” After checking the answers, lead students to learn the new words: behind, under, bedroom. And let them learn the sentences: It’s in the box. It’s on your desk. It’s behind the door. It’s under your chair. Ask students to read these words and sentences after the e-pen.
4. Drill: Let’s chant!
( Purpose : Lead the students to know more details about the text. At thesame time, lead students to learn the new words and the key sentences.)
5. Ask students to listen to the whole dialogue and imitate.
( Purpose : Lead the students to pay attention to their pronunciation and intonation.)
Step3. Practice
1. Ask students to read in roles.
2. Ask students to play a game: Let’s guess!
(Purpose: Role play is a good way to practice the words and sentences. In this way, it can improve their cooperative ability, at the same time, consolidate the key sentences. The game can practice the key sentences and it can also improve their ability of imagination. )
Step4 . Consolidation and extension
Ask students to describe Daming’s bedroom with “It’s in/on/under/behind...”
(Purpose: Students will use the new languages in the real situation. It will also improve students’ ability of communication .At the same time, cultivate them to form a good habit of keeping their rooms clean and tidy.)Step5. Summary

1. Listen and imitate the text.
2. Draw a picture of your bedroom and introduce it to your friends.(Purpose: Consolidate the dialogue after class. Develop students’ ability of using languages.)
