当表达不确定的概念时, 宾语从句还能用that引导吗
Review: 表达肯定概念用that引导的宾语从句
Eg: 1, Amy knows that the doctor has returned.
艾米知道医生已经回来了。
2, Tony thinks that Chinese is very interesting.
托尼认为汉语很有趣。
Eg: 1, Do you know whether / if she is a nurse
你知道她是否是个护士吗?
2, She asked me whether / if I could help her with her English.
她问我是否能帮他学英语。
当表达不确定的概念时要用whether / if 引导宾语从句。whether / if 意为“是否”,在从句中不作成分,不能省略,一般情况下可以互换使用。
More examples:
1, He doesn’t know whether they will plant trees on Saturday or not.
2, He asks whether / if we will go fishing on Sunday.
3, Tom wants to know whether / if he needs to come early tomorrow.
拓展
只用whether 不用if 的四种情况。
1,与or not 连用时
I don’t know whether or not he will come on time. =
I don’t know whether he will come on time or not.
2, 从句在介词后面作宾语时
I am interested in whether he will join the army.
我不知道他是否会按时来。
我对他是否入伍感兴趣。
3,在带to的动词不定式前时
4,当宾语从句移至句首表示强调时
She doesn’t know whether to go to the cinema or to watch TV at home.
她不知道是去看电影还是在家看电视。
Whether this is true or not, I’m not sure.
这是否真实,我不敢肯定。
宾语从句的分类:
that引导的宾语从句
疑问词引导的宾语从句
whether / if 引导的宾语从句
当表达“什么时间,什么地点,什么方式,什么原因”之类的疑问时, 要用相应的疑问词引导宾语从句。
疑问词有具体词义,在句中作成分,不能省略。
在疑问词引导的宾语从句中,一定要用陈述句语序。

Eg:
1, He asked whose book it is.
他问那是谁的书。
2, No one knows why she was late.
没有人知道她为什么迟到。
3, Do you know when the plane will take off
你知道飞机什么时候起飞吗?
4, He asks how we can help protect the environment.

5, I do not understand why they like computer games so much.
我不理解他们为什么如此喜欢电脑游戏。
6, They have not decided where they should go for the holiday.
