三、阅读理解B篇(热点:文物回归中国)
Back in 1995, British police told the Chinese government that they seemed to find some Chinese relics while checking an international relic-smuggling(文物走私) group. After confirming the relics belong to China, the Chinese government set up a special working group to bring these relics home. In February, 1998, two members of the smuggling group agreed to give back more than 3,000 relics to China. Half a year later, another member returned 7 relics.
However, a local buyer of the relics refused to negotiate(协商) their return, so British police held the relics for 25 years.
Communication between the Chinese and British governments never stopped. In January, 2020, the British told China that the buyer was missing and that the relics therefore had no owner. The UK offered to return the relics to China.
The lost relics include a number of fine works of art such as plates and teacups, which date back to a time lasting from the Spring and Autumn Period to the Qing Dynasty, from many different provinces, including Fujian, Hebei and Guizhou. “The return is a successful example of cooperation between China and the UK in fighting cultural relic-smuggling under the 1970 Convention,” Guan Qiang, Deputy Director of the NCHA(国家文物局) said.

Do you enjoy reading and learning about poetry April is National Poetry Month in the United States. Children all over the world also learn about poetry at school.
When I was young, we learned about lots of different poets. Poetry comes in many different forms. I like how it can be used to express serious feelings or just be something that makes me happy.
Bush poetry, a special Australian style of poetry, is my favorite.
Bush poets write about life in rural(农村的) Australia such as farms, fields, villages and animals. They write about all the things that make Australia different from other countries. One of the most famous bush poets is Andrew Barton (Banjo) Paterson. He wrote his poems about 100 years ago.
His poem The Man From Snowy River is one of the most famous Australian poems. It is about a great man who was very good at riding horses. You can search for the poem online and see whether you like it or not.
One of my friends enjoys reading poems by another Australian poet named Bruce Dawe. Dawe writes poems about what it is like to live in Australia today.
My friends in the US and England also learn poetry at school. Famous US poets include Robert Frost and Edgar Allan Poe, while English students learn about William Shakespeare and John Keats.
Most poets are very interesting, inspiring (鼓舞人心的), or unusual people. It is fun to learn about their lives and personalities. By doing this, you can get a better understanding of their poems. Sound interesting You can research these poets and find out more for yourself.
