Imagine Mary has been absent from school for two days because she is sick. Write an email to her according to the situation and questions below. Follow the example in A.
Mary is a 15-year-old girl. She is going to take the senior high school entrance examination. But recently, she found that she could not sleep well at night and felt nervous in the daytime. She once fell asleep in class. Sometimes she felt like crying but no tears came out. The doctor told her to stay at home for several days.
More information about Mary
Now, it’s time for you to write an e-mail.
Dear Mary,
I’m sorry to hear that you could not sleep well at night and felt nervous in the daytime these days. That sounds terrible. I hope you’re feeling better now.
I know that you’re going to take the senior high school entrance examination and you’re kind of nervous. But you’d better take it easy and follow the doctor’s advice to stay at home for several days. Don’t worry about your studies. I will take notes for you and help you with your studies when you come back to school. While you’re at home, it’s good to listen to some music or go for a trip. This will help you relax and stay positive.
I wish you all the best for a rapid recovery.
Cheers,
