Step 1 Warm-up
Greeting :Hello, boys and girls, welcome to our class.. (Have a simple greeting.)
Free talk
Show a video about weather to the students .
Then lead in the new class.
Step 2 Presentation
Show the pictures on the screen , then teach the new words .
Ask the students to read these new words .
Divide students into groups to read these new words in class.
Choose the best group.
Ask the students to finish 1a, then check the answers.
Draw simple line-drawing on the blackboard .
Then ask five students to write their answers.
Choose the best one in class,and clap our hands to him.
Step 3 Practice
Show a picture of Linhuan ,then asks :How’s the weather in Linhuan
The students say :It is sunny........
Show some pictures on the screen , then ask students to work in pairs
Present their conversations
e.g : How’s the weather in Beijing
It’s sunny .
Ask some pairs to act out in class.
Choose the best pair in class,and clap our hands to them.
Step 4 Listening
Play the recording for the students,ask the students
write these city names in the boxes.
2 . The first time ,the students only listen .
3. The second time ,write the answers
Then check the answers
Ask the students to read these conversations.
Step 5 Group work
Show a blank on the screen , divide the students into several groups,
ask students to make some conversations with their partners,and then
write a weather report .Then ask the group leader read their report.
E g: Good morning everyone.Here is the weather report.Today is...
Beijing is ...Shanghai is......
Thank you for listening!
Ask some groups to read their reports in class.
