Emotional aims:
Guide the students to understand parents’ hard work. Motivate the students’ feeling of loving their families. Encourage the students to do the things they can do for family. Cultivate the students’ feeling of responsibility. Let them know they should devote themselves for their families like their parents.

PPT, main sentence patterns, Chen Jie’s father’s cartoon picture, some head wears, etc.
【Teaching procedures】
Step one
Warm up and Review
1. Game: I say You say
2. Song:
【Purpose】Make the atmosphere of class happily by singing and games. And review the old language about this lesson.
Step two Presentation
1. Lead-in
Use PPT to create a situation for students.
设计悬念,激发好奇心
Present the new knowledge step by step.
T: Wow! What a happy home! They have a happy home. Look! I have a happy home. And look! Here’s another home. Whose is it Can you guess
2. T:Yes, it’s Chen Jie’s home. Who’s at her home Zhang Peng or Amy
S1: Zhang Peng
S2: Amy
T: Let’s have a look! Wow, it’s Amy. Amy is at Chen Jie’s home. Who does Amy see She sees Chen Jie’s grandfather, grandmother, father, mother
S1: She sees Chen Jie’s grandfather
S2: She sees Chen Jie’s mother
S3: She sees Chen Jie’s father
3. Use a video to present the whole dialogue, then answer the questions: Who does Amy see Does Amy know Chen Jie’s father What’s Amy’s question Present the main sentence patterns “Who’s that man He’s my father.” by the series of questions.
T: Let’s watch the video and circle the right answer. Who does Amy see S1: She sees Chen Jie’s father.
T: Does Amy know Chen Jie’s father
Ss: No.
T: So she asks Chen Jie a question What’s Amy’s question Let’s watch the video again and underline the question.Present the new sentence “Who’s that man He’s my father.”
5. Teach the new sentence patterns “Who’s that man He’s my father.” Let Ss read after teacher. And ask and answer with teacher in different roles.
6. Practice the new sentence: First let students take out their family photos, then let them ask and answer in pairs. At last let them show out the short dialogue.
【Purpose】Let students learn the new knowledge by creating situations and questions. Design,Motivate the students’ curious. Improve the students’ interest of learning. Let students enable to know the dialogue better.
Step 3 Practice
1. Guessing game: Use some students’ and their parents’ photos to practice the new sentence patterns: Who’s that man / woman He’s / She’s my father / mother. Who’s that boy / girl He’s / She’s ...
2.Let’s chant
3. Listen and imitate the new dialogue.
4.Read in roles. Practice in groups.
5. Action show: Act out the dialogue in groups.
Step 4 Extension and consolidation
1. Create a new situation: Amy phones to Chen Jie and invite Chen Jie to visit her home. Let students make a new dialogue. First teacher and some students make a modal.
2. Practice in groups.
3. Show the new dialogue.
【Purpose】
Let students use the new language in a real situation. Develop the students’ abilities of comprehension.
4. Emotion sublimation
(1) PPT Shows some family photos to students. And introduce the family to students: This is my family. This is Miss Lu’s family. This is ...’s family. Guide the question “What is Family ”
(2) Let students watch a video about family and find the answer:
Family means “Father And Mother I Love You”
(3) What can we do for our “Father and Mother” What can we do for our “Family”
Let students think over the question first. Then let them appreciate some pictures.启发the students’ 思维thinking.

6. Let’s check.
