一、课题
《Module 6 Around town Unit 1 Could you tell me how to get to the National Stadium 》是外语教学与研究出版社《新标准》英语七年级下册第六模块第一单元的内容。
二、教材分析
本模块的话题是问路与指路。主要教学内容是学习“问路和指路”的各种表达方式,并能通过阅读地图指出路线及具体位置。第一单元是一节听说课,主要是在天安门广场进行的“问路和指路”而展开的交际活动。围绕这一话题,尽量为学生呈现和创设较为真实的语境,使学生能根据地图清晰地说明方位,让学生在预设情境中感知及运用问路及指路的交际用语。通过不同层次和不同形式的语言操练,让学生由感知、体验入手,到理解、掌握目标语言,进而把语言知识变成真正的语言交际能力。
三、学情分析
问路与指路是贴近人们生活的一个永恒的话题,容易唤起学生学习的兴趣和使用目标语言进行表达的意愿,便于课堂教学的开展。学生通过七年级上册第三模块已经学习了behind,between,in front of, on the left / right 等表地点的介词和短语,还学习了Where is ... 来询问方位的句型。因此对方位介词有了一定的语言基础,在现有的认知水平上再学习问路和指路的表达方式,符合学生认知水平,学生会乐于参与讨论这一话题,对他们将来到其他地方旅游有一定的帮助。
四、教学目标
1.语言知识目标
功能:问路和指路。
词汇:掌握词汇意思,排除对话理解障碍。
名词:bank, museum, tourist, guidebook, underground
动词: cross, excuse, turn, take
介词: across, along, opposite
数词: third
情态动词:could
动词短语:go across, go along, turn left, take the underground to
交际用语:Excuse me.
语音:正确朗读表示问路及指路的交际用语。
语法:方位介词;问路及指路表达方式。
2.技能目标
听:能听懂本课有关问路与指路的简短对话。
说:能在较为真实的语境中运用问路与指路的交际用语。
读:能用正确的语音和语调朗读对话。
3.学习策略目标
自学策略:学生自己归纳问路与指路的功能句。
合作学习策略:在问路和指路时要注意礼貌和礼节。

通过合作交流,加深对居住城市的关注与了解,增进对居住地的感情;并能在生活中乐于助人。

Step 1. Before-listening
1. Lead-in. ( Guessing game)
T: (Look at the title) When we talk about “Around town” , what things do you think of first
Ss: People,food,places...
T: Good. What places can you name
Ss: Park...
T: OK. Here are some riddles(猜谜) about places. Guess what they are.
Ss: Restaurant...
2. Listen and fill in the blanks according to the dialogue, then check the answer.
T: I want to go to the bank, the museum, the restaurant and the station, how can I get to these places
3. Look at the places around us and talk about the positions according to the pictures.
T: Can you find these places around us
Ss: Yes. There is a ...opposite...
【设计意图】回顾地点名词和介词,为下面的语言交际扫清词汇障碍;并初步感知问路及指路的表达方式。为下面的听力活动作词汇、句型和语言上的准备和铺垫。
Step 2. While-Listening
1. Listen to the conversation for the first time and answer two questions.
Question 1: What does the tourist want to buy
Question 2: Where does the tourist want to go
T: Just now we talked about the places around our town, next let’s talk about the places around Beijing like the National Stadium, what other places do you know
Ss: Tian’anmen Square...
T: At the moment, Betty and Lingling are standing in front of Tian’anmen Square. They met a foreigner. What happened between them
2. Read the dialogue as quickly as you can and answer the questions, then check the answers in pairs.
Question 1: How can the tourist get to Wangfujing Dajie
Question 2: Where is the bookshop
Question 3: How can the tourist get to the National Stadium
T: How can the tourist get to these three places Read and underline the sentences.
T: First, tell me, how can we get the answers quickly

3. Go over the dialogue again and do Activity 6, call two students to write on the blackboard.

【设计意图】学生带着问题听对话,整体感知对话内容,从中获取主要信息;再通过对话细节的理解,提炼出本课关于问路与指路的相关句型,为稍后的语言输出打下基础。
Step 3. Post-listening
1. Read the conversation loudly and correctly after the reading pen. (模仿对话中的语音和语调)
2. Act out the conversation in roles in groups of four. (表演时注意语音、语调、表情和动作)
【设计意图】学生跟着点读笔朗读课文,体会问路和指路句型的语音和语调的变化,以便于熟记。分角色表演对话,使得每个学生都有参与的机会,都能参与语言交际的活动中,有利于提高学生的学习积极性。
3. Show a map around our school, let Ss practise giving directions in pairs.
T: Since we’ve learnt how to ask and answer the way, Let’s do some practice. Suppose you met a stranger on the street, he didn’t know the way to some places, can you help him
Ss: Yes.
4. Show and send your maps around your neighborhood on the Internet, and then give directions.
1). Call Ss to send the maps and choose one map to talk about the way.

2). Let other students ask Sa the way.

【设计意图】这一环节是学生从书本走向生活的重要一步,让学生模拟生活场景组织问路及指路的对话,以达到真实交流的目的。首先利用学校周边的真实地图和真实建筑,同伴合作认读地图,并交流从学校到某个地方的路线。另外,学生借助自己手绘的地图,交流家庭周边位置的信息,展开问路及指路的交际活动,锻炼了认读地图的能力。真正做到将知识转化为能力,将英语学习融入生活。
