Step1. Revision 翻译下列句子: 这儿有许多可看的东西。 我不想错过这个展览。 展览上有许多艺术品。 你喜欢中国画吗? Step2. Presentation T: Beijing is a good place to visit. Simon is inviting Neil to Beihai Park. Let’s listen to the tape and tell me when and where they will meet. Play the tape for the students to listen and find out the answers. Play the tape again for them to listen and answer two more questions. What can they do in the park How far is the park from Neil’s hotel Step3. Practice Get the students to read the dialogue after the tape Get them to act out the dialogue in pairs Get them to make their own dialogue in pairs Get some pairs to act their own dialogues Step4. Important words: Nouns, main verbs, adjectives, adverbs Less important words: articles, prepositions, pronouns, conjunctions. Get the student to go through the example sentences Tell the students that the words are not equally important and that we can stress some of the words to show that they are more important information. Get them to go through the example sentence and help them to understand it. Step5. Practice Get the students to read the sentences and underline the stressed words Listen to the radio. I’m so glad to see you again. We can row a boat on the lake. It’s beautiful. We’ll go shopping at Sunshine Shopping Mall. Play the tape of Part A for them to listen and repeat and remind them of the bolded words Get them to read the sentence in part B and stress the different words according to the meanings you want to express.
