Unit 5 Free Time Lesson 2
教学目标
1.掌握并使用频率副词:once a week/ twice a week/three times a week/ every day/never能够听懂会说用来询问与回答某人课余活动及其活动频率的功能句:How often do you... I .... twice a week.
2.能够初步在情境中运用与本单元的新语言交流有关课余活动的简单信息
3.能根据自己的实际情况,读懂问询活动频率的问句,并能写出答语
4. 鼓励学生相信自己,坚持每天练习,一定会学好英语。
学情分析
四年级的学生和低年级学生相比具有比较强的自行探究的能力,学生在观察能力。思维能力、语言表达能力方面都有了较好的提高,有着强烈的好奇心与动手操作的能力。他们喜欢在自己的探索中获取知识。经过三年半年的学习,学生有了一定的语言基础。学生通过学习本单元的第一课,已经掌握相关课余生活的动词短语,再进行第二课学习时,有一定的学习基础。
重点难点
1.教学重点:
1)频率副词的使用:once a week/ twice a week/three times a week/every day/ never
2)询问与回答某人课余活动及频率的功能句:“How often do you... ”“I ... once a week./I never ....
2.教学难点:
能根据自己的实际情况,读懂问询活动频率的问句,并能在情境中运用。
教学过程
Step 1 Preparation
1.Greeting:
T: Hello! Boys and girls.
Ss: Hello! Teacher.
2.Warming up:
T:Today is a sunny day , I’m very happy, and I want to dance.
Can you dance with me
T:First, let’s do some actions.(出示图片,根据图片做相应动作)
T:Now let’s dance follow the music,OK (播放动画walking walking )
3.Divide Ss into three groups:
T: Are you happy now Now let’s continue to learn Unit 5 Free Time Lesson 2 . Are you ready
T: In this class,we have three groups, and you will have a match.
Look!(PPT出示) If you answer my question louder, your group will get one sticker.
Step 2 Presentation and practice
1.Revision
(1) Let’s review the phrases. Are you ready (T出示图片,Ss读词组play the violin/do the housework/go camping/go skating/go for a picnic,T将卡片贴到黑板上。)
(2) T: Can you chant with them (T:What do you do in your free time / I often ... .)Let’s chant it together. Are you ready
2.Presentation
(1) Lead in(导入)
T:Do you like picnic (ppt show picture) Do you want to go for a picnic with me (my photo )Let’s go for a picnic.
(2) New words(教授新词)
a:T: How many days are there in a week
Ss: Seven days.
T: I often go for a picnic on Sundays. So I can say : I go for a picnic once a
week. (Read this phrase row by row )
b.T: Do you like skating I like it very much. It’s very interesting.So I go skating
twice a week. (Read this phrase group by group)
c.T: Please guess: Can I play the violin
T: Yes, I can. But I can’t do it very well. So I need to practice. I play the violin
three times a week. (Read this phrase line by line )
d.T: Look, where is it
Ss: It’s your home.
T: Is it clean Do you know why it’s so clean Because I do the housework
every day. (Read this phrase vs boys and girls )
e: T: Do you like camping but I don’t.I think it’s very dangerous, so I never go
camping.
T: Can you read all the phrases together Let’s read them.
(呈现ppt,出示难点破解让学生们一起把tips读一遍)
Game:推拉板。根据推拉板显示的天数,说出相应的频率副词。
(3) New sentences(教授句型)
a. 答句练习
T:Can you make some sentences with these words
For example(ppt),I often go for a picnic once a week.
I never go camping .( 同时将两个答句的词条贴到黑板上。)
Pay attention of this word: never It’s in the middle of the sentence.
Game:Guessing Game.
T: I need one student to help me. You guess the sentence and the others do the actions. Then you will be a little teacher. And please read after him/her.
(当最后一组学生猜出句子后,引出问句:How often do you... 学生集体回答,并将问句词条贴到黑板上。)
b. 问句练习
T asks and students answer.(引导学生造句)
Boys ask and girls answer.
Girls ask and boys answer.
3.Practice(呈现新知)
(1) T: You did a good job today. Do you remember Miss Wu They’re also talking about their free time. Let’s listen to get what they are talking about. Before listening, don’t forget these questions.(Can you read )
Q1:Who are they
Q2: Where are they
Q3: What are they talking about
(读文题,听录音,看问题并回答。)
(2) T: Let’s listen again and answer more questions.
Q1:What is Lily going to do tomorrow
Q2: How often does Lily go skating
Q3: What does Mike do in his free time
(再次听录音,回答课文中的问题。)
(3) T: Let’s listen and repeat the sentences.
T: Can you read it Let’s read it together.
T: This time boys are Mike. And girls are Lily. Let’s read it again.
(听录音跟读课文,接着齐读课文,然后分角色朗读。)
(4) Now it’s time to show time .(看PPt)T:Can you make a dialogue like this I’ll give you an example.I need one to help me . I’m B,who wants to be A
Now you can make a dialogue with your partner.And then finish your table which on your books.(教师先示范完成对话,学生两两合作完成对话,并上台展示。)
Step 3 Consolidation and Extension
T:Wow, here are some super stars. They are ... .Do you know why they can be famous stars Because they keep practicing every day. Do you want to learn English very well If you want , you need to keep practicing every day. Now let’s practice what we have learnt today.
