Scientists from Budapest, Hungary, (3) 400 university students. In the study, the students needed to complete a questionnaire(问卷). Do you get angry when your friends sing loudly while you are working Or when your best friend does not wait for you after school
If you do, you need to take control of(控制) your feelings and stop getting angry so easily. Getting angry with people can make you lose friends. Gary Egeberg, an American high school teacher, has written My Feelings Are Just Like Wild Animals to help you control your feelings. It tells teens how to stay cool when bad things happen to them. The book says that getting angry only makes problems worse. It can never make them better. Getting angry is not a natured(本性) way to act. It is just a bad habit, like smoking. The book says you can control your anger easily—all you have to do is telling yourself not to be angry. When a baby falls over, it only cries if people are watching it. Like a baby, you should only get angry if you are sure it is the right thing to do. The book gives many tips to help you if you get angry easily. Here are our top three:
①Keep a record. Every time you get angry, write down why you are angry. Look at it later and you will see you get angry too easily.
②Ask your friends to stop talking to you when you get angry. This will teach you not to be angry.
③Do something different. When you get angry, walk away from the problem and go somewhere else. Try to laugh!

When I was in the eighth grade, my class was assigned(指派) to be friends with the second-grade kids. I got this little girl named Shelley. The first time I saw her, she was silent and cold. She was small for her age, and she didn't play with the other kids in her class.
I tried all kinds of things to get her to talk to me. I bought her toys, crayons and candies, But try as I might, nothing worked. One time, I gave her a coloring book and said, "Shelley, now you can color in it any time."
Shelley looked at the coloring book and then looked up at me, and finally looked away. By that, I didn't know how I was going to get through to the little girl, but I knew I wouldn't give up on her.
One Friday, I decided to tell her a story about my childhood. I told her that l felt lonely when I was with my classmates, and how I thought only my teachers liked me. I also told her that every day was a battle(战役) for me and I fought back tears so people wouldn't know how much I was hurting.
She sat there just listening, trying to decide whether I was lying or not. Finally, when my story ended, there were tears in her eyes. And then she did the unthinkable. She said, "Thank you." From then on, Shelley was a different little girl. She started smiling and talking with other kids.
Looking back at this I'm in awe(惊叹), because all I did was to help her realize that she wasn't alone. I didn't ask her to tell her story, because her story is my story.

A. Cold. B. Lazy. C. Noisy. D. Slow.

Many people might think that if they had more money, then they would be happier in life. For example, people might look at what others have, like expensive clothes or nice cars, and wish they could have the same. But the things that money can buy can not bring happiness to a person for long.
①But is that really true Studies have found that money can, in fact, make people happier. ②Instead, it s giving money to others that makes people happy. ③It could be buying a present for a friend or a family member. ④It could be buying a homeless person food to eat. It could be giving money to a person in need. Just think about the last time you used your own money to do something for someone else. How did you feel Whether it is a small or large amount of money, people feel happier when they give. This is because making someone else happy makes the giver happy, too.
This idea of connecting your happiness to the happiness of others is described as ubuntu in an African language. There is even a story about a man visiting Africa who asked some kids to race to a nearby tree. The first child to touch the tree would get a sweet treat. Surprisingly all the children held hands and ran together. They all touched the tree at the same time. The man asked why they had done this. The children simply said they could only enjoy eating the treat if everyone had one.
1. The writer says that buying things____.
A. can make people worried
B. can make people nervous
C. may lead to sadness for long
D. may lead to happiness for a short time

C. To make the writer′s opinion clearer.
D. To express happiness is from children.
4. What does the writer try to tell us?

D. People who have a lot of money might not be happy.

Dear Anna,
I understand your feeling. Here is what I think.
Maybe your parents won't know how you feel if you don't talk to them about it. Why not honestly and kindly let them know music and you are never a good match, but sports are your strength Meanwhile, you'd better tell them you have had a clear life goal and are old enough to make your own decisions. Further-more, try to get a proper chance to prove that you are talented in sports. When they know you are better at sports, they will let you choose what you love to do. I'm sure Your parents will allow you to choose what you like.
I hope what I said is helpful to you.
