Today is Dragon Boat Festival. It’s nine a.m. Zhu Hui’s family are at home. His mom and aunt are making zongzi. His dad and uncle are watching the boat races on TV.

It’s nine p.m. in New York and it’s the night before the festival. But there isn’t a Dragon Boat Festival in the US. It’s just like any other night for Zhu Hui. The mother is reading a story to her children. The father is watching a soccer game on TV. Zhu Hui is talking on the phone to his cousin in Shenzhen.

两种时态区别主要体现在动词的形式上。
1.He’s now studying in the United States.
study 此处为不及物动词，“学习”；作及物动词，相当于learn.
1. learn为“学习，学会”，侧重学习的成果，指从不知到知，从不会到会的学习，强调通过学习去获得知识和技能，learn亦可指向某人学习，从某处学习及学习一门技能等。 如 learn music, learn new words, learn to skate, learn from experience, learn from Lei Feng 2. study为“学习，研究”，强调学习的过程，指深入系统地学习，带有努力，勤奋的意味。 如：study medicine, study science, study a map, study engineering, study painting。
2.Zhu Hui misses his family and wishes to have his mom’s delicious zongzi.
hope与wish的区别主要表现在以下几个方面： A．hope与wish都可以跟动词不定式（hope／wish to do sth．），但wish to do sth．比较正式，而hope to do sth．所表达的愿望是最容易实现的。 1．Jennie hoped to give her a good education．珍妮希望给她良好的教育。
B．wish之后可以跟含有动词不定式的复合宾语（wish sb．to do sth．），而hope却没有这种用法（×hope sb．to do sth）。 You know I wish you to be happy，don't you？你知道我希望你幸福，你知道吗？ C.wish可用在wish＋间宾＋直宾（I wish you success．）结构中，而hope却不能。 They wished him good luck．他们祝他好运气。
