指导思想与理论依据
《小学英语新课程标准》的基本理念：注重素质教育，体现语言学习对学生发展的价值。因此语言学习的目的不只教会学生语言知识，或者是发展用英语与他人进行交流的能力，更要焕发学生的创造思维，引导学生乐学、会学。根据素质教育理论，在本节课，我努力遵循创设情境、帮助学生感知学习内容，体验学习英语的乐趣，有效利用多媒体资源，设计多元活动，帮助学生积极投入到课堂学习中去，发自内心地感受学习英语快乐的指导思想，结合学生已有的知识和已有的生活经验，设计循序渐进的语言实践活动，让学生在真实的情境中有层次地进行语言学习。
教学背景分析
1.教材分析本课选自人民教育出版社《英语（一年级起点）》四年级下册第六单元，话题为Countries，本课为本单元第一课，是词汇教学课。内容主要是学习五个国家的名称。本课是本单元第一课时，通过学习五个国家的名称，在恰当的语境中介绍自己来自哪个国家。本课所涉及的语言知识有：五个国家名称（China, Canada, Australia, the UK, the USA.），功能句（I am …. I am from ….）。本课补充教材为Kids Brown English Program第四级的第二本，主题为People around the world。内容主要是位于不同大洲的八个国家的名称、标志物、问候语等。2.学情分析 本课的教学对象为四年级的学生，在本册书的第一单元和第二单元，学生们已经学习过了my neighbourhood和cities，对身边的地理特征有了一定的了解，会说一些地名，如post office，restaurant，grocery，bank，zoo，museum等等，并且了解了一定的方位介词，这些都为本节课学习更大的地理范围打下了基础。四年级的学生处于小学中段，他们已经积累了一些英语知识和一定的学习习惯，这为本节课学习较难的知识提供了帮助。另外，班级里一些同学有过出国的经历，或者经常通过各种手段了解国外的文化知识和名胜古迹，但是没有系统地对各国的特色进行过梳理，本节课将在学生已有的认知基础上进行教学，使他们获取更多有意义的知识。四年级学生大部分年龄在10岁，他们思维能力的发展处于转折期，语言文字反应增强，思维的敏捷性和灵活性提高，思维发展水平由具体形象思维向抽象逻辑思维过渡，他们有较强的探究周围世界的欲望，对英语感兴趣，因此在本节课设计教学环节时，我会充分考虑教学活动的情境性和思维性，比如设计分类游戏等。本班同学较喜欢听唱英语歌曲和学习课本以外的知识，因此我决定根据学生的实际情况适当绘本读物进行补充，使同学们在课堂中多听、多说、多唱，并了解更多的英语国家知识。
教学目标
教学目标：1. 能够听、说、读、写与国家有关的5个单词，并尝试借助拼读规律记忆单词。2. 能够根据图片或情境，初步运用I’ m from…表达自己来自哪个国家。3. 能够根据给出的信息，将介绍个人国籍的句子补充完整，内容、格式正确。教学重点：在情境中了解和认识更多国家名称，熟悉这些国家名称的正确表达，并能够在相应的活动中，介绍自己的国籍。教学难点：1.Australia的读音和拼写。2.了解五个国家的国旗图案。

Step 1 热身活动1.播放歌曲《Where are you from 》, 同学们跟唱，做TPR活动。2.做TPR热身活动。 【设计意图】通过听唱歌曲和做TPR活动初步感知本课的新词汇和功能句，并利用多媒体手段激起学生学习的兴趣，为接下来的课奠定好基础。Step 2 呈现新知1.初步感知T：Look, this is the map of the world.，there are many countries, which country are we from？Ss answer.T: We live in China, China is our country. It’s big and beautiful. Near China, there is a small country, what’s this Ss answer.T: Next to China, there is a big country., it’s Russia. Far away from China , there is a big country, it’s Australia. So China is a country.教师展示country词条。T：How many syllables are there in country Ss answer, practice coun try.（用手势练习）T: And Russia, Japan, Australia, they are countries.教师用词条展示country到countries的变化。T: Today we are going to talk about countries.
