Step1. Revision Say: Where do you live Where do you like living, in a city, in a town or in the countryside Ask the students: What’s your dream town like Help them to talk about the different places around their home and the activities they can do. Step2. Presentation Discuss with the students: Would you like to live in a big city Why (There many shopping malls and I can find anything I like there. There are also lots of restaurants and I can have Chinese food and Western food. There are cinemas and theatres. I can watch films, plays and Beijing Opera. Say: Some students like living in a modern city, but some like living in a small town. Why Because it is quiet in a small town. Use some pictures to present the new words Finish off Part B1 Step3. Reading Listen and answer: where is Sunshine Town Get the students to scan the passage quickly and Discuss and talk Read and understand some new words Listen and answer

If you want to learn more about Chinese _______ , don’t miss______ ______ here. Step4. Read Play the tape for the students to listen and repeat. Remind them to pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation. Get the students to complete B2 and B3. Step5. Homework Memorize the new words and useful expressions Finish off the WB Ex.
