一、教材分析1、内容分析:本课是五年级下册第二单元Special Days的fun time板块,其中A项设计了端午节的小语篇。此外,本单元还涉及了Tree Planting Day, Mother’s Day, National Day, Christmas Day, Teacher’s Day, Moon Festival, Spring Festival, Children’s Day等中西方特殊节日,本课作为单元话题进行拓展学习。2、整合资源:英语作为工具性和人文性的统一,我们不仅学习语言进行交流,更加承载着跨文化交际的任务,在学习西方文化的同时,我们有必要传承和弘扬我们的传统文化,做到跨文化双向交流。端午节作为我国重要的传统节日之一,教材涉及内容较少,不能满足于学生对传统节日的深入了解。因此,以单元fun time的端午语篇为依托,依据课标中提出的要求(五年级学生听说材料的文本字数不超过120词),结合节日话题的学习要素,对文本进行了整合、补充和重组:Duanwu Festival is a traditional festival in China. It is also called the Dragon Boat Festival. It is on the 5th day of the 5th month in the Chinese lunar year.On this day, people often remember Quyuan, a famous Chinese poet. People usually eat Zongzi and drink Xionghuang wine. Many families like to make Zongzi at home. They use bamboo leaves, sticky rice and other things.People also have dragon boat races in the south of China. In some places, children often wear sachets. These sachets are filled with dried flowers, tea, and some medicine. Families also hang mugwort on their doors during Duanwu Festival. Duanwu festival is interesting. Do you think so 二、学情分析1、知识、能力水平:五年级学生学习了主要的中西方节日,能够从时间、饮食、庆祝活动等方面介绍特殊的节日,如圣诞节、万圣节、新年、元宵节、春节等;能够对自己喜欢的节日进行简单的描述,并表达对节日的看法,比如喜好的原因,节日的背景等。对于新知,特别是词汇学习,能够尝试拼读,大部分学生自主拼读的意识较好。2、节日背景知识:经过调研发现,对于端午节,孩子们知道吃粽子、赛龙舟等。大部分学生能够说出Duanwu Festival,知道端午节也叫Dragon Boat Festival,会说eat Zongzi、make Zongzi,row dragon boats等。对于端午节的由来,知道是为了纪念伟大的爱国诗人屈原,大部分学生知道公历日期和阳历日期。但对于端午节其他活动和习俗了解甚少,传统节日文化背景知识欠缺,语言也存在障碍。3、学习、思维方式: 学生喜欢小组讨论的学习方式,养成了较好的小组合作学习习惯,喜欢问“为什么”,对文化背景知识感兴趣,并愿意追溯根源。喜欢有挑战性的活动,能够就事实,结合生活实际简单发表自己的看法。
教学目标(含重、难点)
教学目标 能够听懂、默读、并理解有关端午节的小语篇。能够从时间、来历、食物、庆祝活动等方面尝试介绍端午节,并发表自己的看法。能够通过对比、体验、探究等,初步感受端午文化的氛围和精髓,对传统节日文化感兴趣。教学重难点教学重点:从时间、传说、食物、庆祝活动等方面介绍端午节教学难点:学习传统节日的时间表达,以及有关端午习俗的词汇 较为全面介绍端午节,以及发表对端午的看法
教学过程与教学资源设计
环节一:复习节日”聚”传统活动1. 交流节日 激活已知T:Today, let’s talk about an interesting topic. What is it 出示打乱的字母引出Festivals. 提问:What Festivals do you know S:Moon Festival, Christmas Day, Spring Festival, Easter Day…活动2. 聚焦传统节日教师出示一些节日图片,聚焦中国传统节日: Western Festivals Chinese Traditional FestivalsChristmas Day Spring FestivalHalloween Moon Festival Lantern FestivalT:What other Chinese Traditional Festivals do you know 设计意图:通过交流等方式激活节日话题,复习中西方节日,聚焦中国传统节日,为后续学习做铺垫,在交流的过程中,激活学生对节日话题的认知。环节二:借助日历”引”端午活动1:引出端午 学习时间出示日历,Look, today is May 23rd , which traditional festival is coming soon 引出Duanwu Festival. It is also called Dragon Boat Festival. T: When is Duanwu Festival S: It is on May 30th. 出示2017、2016和2015年的端午节日历,发现不在同一天:Look, this year, Duanwu Festival is on May 30th. Last year, was it on May 30th How about 2015 Why are they different 引出中国农历表达:Are they on the same day in Chinese lunar year In China, we often use the Chinese lunar year for Chinese traditional festivals. 出示日历:On the Calendar, which line is for lunar year Yes, the second line is for lunar year, the first line is for solar year. 学习时间:It is on the 5th day of the 5th month in the Chinese lunar year. T: Duanwu Festival has another interesting English, called Double 5th Festival. Is it interesting 设计意图:基于学生已知,借助日历,通过观察、对比等,明确公历和农历,学习传统节日时间的准确表达,渗透传统节日背景知识,感受农历计时的传统文化的特殊性。活动2:谈论端午 激活已知T:What do you know about Duanwu Festival S: eat Zongzi, Quyuan,Dragon Boat races等过渡:Do you want to know more about Duanwu Festival 设计意图:基于学生已有认知和生活经验,从学生熟知的粽子和龙舟入手,激活端午节的相关信息。引发学生继续学习的兴趣和对传统节日的求知欲,开启端午之旅。环节三:视听呈现”知”端午活动1:初次视听,整体感受端午 教师播放视频“Duanwu Festival”:视频中关键信息如eat zongzi, have dragon boat races, wear sachets等在视频中随音频同步标注,图文并茂,整体感受端午的同时,强化主要信息。活动2:再次视听,勾画端午 T: Now, Let’s watch and listen again. Tick “√”the pictures that belong to Duanwu Festival. 学生再次视听,勾画出端午节的活动和习俗 核对答案:On Duanwu Festival, people eat and make Zongzi. People have dragon boat races. Do People hang mugwort Some people drink Xionghuang wine People like to shoot willow (Shooting willow is for Qingming Festival.)Do people stick couplets (Not on Duanwu, on spring festival). In some places, children like to wear sachets, yes or no 活动3:初读排序 跟读核对 要求:读一读有关端午节的句条,排一排序,之后播放端午录音,尝试跟读,检查排序。核对无误,贴在端午的背景单上,形成完整的端午语篇。设计意图:从背景知识和语言上来讲,端午话题对学生有些困难。因此,通过不同方式增加输入量很有必要。因此,在两遍的视听输入完成tick任务之后,又设计了“读一读端午信息排序”的活动,进一步帮助学生整体感知,加强记忆。借助“tick“和”order“的具体听力任务,逐步了解端午。在活动中,不仅关注端午,也在无形中渗透其他传统节日习俗,如春节和清明节作为干扰项的设计,激发学生对传统节日的兴趣,有助于形成正确的传统文化价值观,促进学生文化意识的发展。环节四:深入学习”解”端午学习饮食和龙舟 渗透历史渊源eat Zongzi: Zongzi has an interesting English name---rice dumpling Why do we call it rice dumpling?对比江米和普通大米,竹叶和芦苇叶Xionghuang wine :出示雄黄酒、雄黄、药等Why do people drink Xionghuang wine have dragon boat races :What do people often do on that day Let’s listen. 播放赛龙舟的声音,出示赛龙舟的图片和视频,提出问题:Why do people like to have dragon boat races in the south of China-A lot of lakes and rivers;Quyuan jumped into Miluo River, Miluo is in the south of China. 教师提问T:Why do people eat Zongzi and have dragon boat races on Duanwu Festival remember Quyuan: 播放屈原投江的视频,提问:What do you think of Quyuan 感受屈原的伟大设计意图:端午习俗较多,因此在教授过程采用分层处理的方式。作为学生熟知的粽子、龙舟等作为第一层次的学习,借助图片、视频、音频、实物等帮助学生直观理解词汇;通过对比、观察等方式进一步加深对端午的记忆和理解。特别是通过粽子和龙舟引出屈原,内容环环紧扣,思维步步深入,促使学生能够真实表达对屈原和端午的观点,感受屈原的伟大和端午文化的精髓。学习其他风俗活动 感受端午文化结合板书引导学生阶段梳理:Duanwu Festival is a traditional festival in China. It is also called Dragon Boat Festival. It is on the 5th day of the 5th month in the Chinese lunar year. On that day, people often remember Qu yuan, a famous Chinese poet. People usually eat Zongzi and drink Xionghuang wine. People also make Zongzi at home and often have the dragon boat races in the south of China. 提出问题:What other interesting activities do people do during Duanwu Festival hang mugwort on the doors:出示艾草的实物,让学生闻一闻,感受this is the dried mugwort, 制作艾草香囊Look, I put some in this little bag. We call it sachet. 引出sachets. wear sachets:出示不同味道的香囊,分组观察、亲自闻一闻,猜里面装的是什么: dried flowers, tea, medicine. Why do people wear sachets?-drive away insects, smell good, make life beautiful… 结合板书 梳理端午教师引导学生从Time, History, Food ,Activities方面再次整体梳理端午。设计意图:在学习粽子、龙舟、屈原的第一层次学习之后,重点学习挂香囊和挂艾草。通过看一看、闻一闻艾草,体验其味道和作用;通过闻一闻、猜一猜,解密更多香囊,关联语言,感受其不同的功效和作用,刺激真实表达,加强对端午习俗的理解和记忆。在亲身实践的过程中,体验传统节日习俗,进一步激发端午学习的兴趣,增强传统文化的认同感。环节五: 小组合作”话”端午活动1:介绍端午小组合作介绍端午六个人一小组,每个人介绍一个方面。(语言支持:板书和阅读材料)评价: 小香囊袋个人整体介绍端午评价: 大香囊袋设计意图:在介绍端午的输出环节,教师进行分层处理。鼓励小组分工合作介绍端午节,更鼓励个人全面介绍。采用不同方式介绍端午,既给每个同学表达的机会,也给能力较强的同学提供更高的舞台,提高参与度,满足不同学需求。用“香囊袋“作为评价,激励学生积极表达,同时也为布置作业埋下伏笔。此外,引导学生认真聆听,给予客观公正的评价,提高评价能力。活动2:谈论感受 庆祝端午 Let’s talk: Duanwu Festival is interesting, do you think so Why How are you going to celebrate Duanwu Festival I am going to … 教师示范:I am going to help my mum to make zongzi and make some sachets. Then I am going to buy some mugwort. Of course, I will have a big dinner with my family. What about you 小结提升: Duanwu Festival is an important festival in China, also famous and popular in the world. We should let more and more people know our traditional festival, take China to the world. 设计意图:经过反复输入、体验学习、小组介绍等活动后,学生对于端午节有了较为深入的认识,借助较为开放性的问题进行深入交流,表达观点,不仅提升学生总结概括、综合运用能力,而且促使学生进一步热爱我们的传统节日,进一步认同我们的传统节日,为我们的传统节日而自豪。环节六:小结端午”创”作业活动1:结合框架 总结端午教师用提问的方式结合板书总结端午:When is Duanwu Festival What do people eat and drink What do people often do Why do we have Duanwu Festival …
