考点介绍:if与whether的区别;宾语从句的语序
二、引导词的分类及其功能
1. 一般疑问句变宾语从句,用whether或if引导,意为“是否”。若宾语从句后面没有or not,两个都可以用;若从句后面有or not,一般要用whether。如:
I am not sure whether / if you are right. 我不确定你是否是正确的。
I want to know whether he will come or not. 我想知道他是否会来。
2. 特殊疑问句变宾语从句,只需用原来的疑问词引导。疑问词分为疑问代词和疑问副词,具体如下:
(1)疑问代词有:who,whom,whose,which,what等,在句中作主语、宾语、定语或者表语。如:
Can you tell me whom you are waiting for?你能告诉我你在等谁吗?
(2)疑问副词有:when,where,why,how,在句中作状语。如:
None of us knows where he bought this car. 我们没有人知道他在哪儿买的这辆车。
三、宾语从句的语序
宾语从句的语序必须是陈述语序,即“引导词+主语+谓语+其他成分”的语序。将疑问句转换成宾语从句时,一定要将疑问句语序转换成陈述句语序。如:
She can’t decide whether to stay or not. 她无法决定是否留下。
Could you tell me when the train will leave? 你能告诉我火车什么时候出发吗?
