Teaching procedures Step 1 Warm-up activities 1.Free talk about Ss’ abilities. It’s the beginning of the school year. Now I want to know something about your abilities. Lead into the Modal verb: can/ could (we use can to talk about the present, we use could to talk about the past) 3. Ss practice the patterns about ‘can/ could’ in pairs.
