一、教学内容分析
本节课是修订后外研版(2011)英语八年级下册Module 4 Seeing the doctor Unit3 Language in use的第一课时。Unit3主要复习如何能就病情话题和健康生活方式进行简单交流和正确使用for和since在现在完成时出的使用特点。通过听、说、读和总结的方法完成就医对话和用for和since回答基本情况调查。基于学生英语水平参差不齐的现状,因此课堂设计体现低起点,多层次,满足不同阶段学生的需求。
二、教学目标
1)知识目标
Keyvocabularies:cough fever headache stomachache toothache cold catch a cold
Keystructures:
1.What's wrong with you
2. How long have you been like this
3. We haven’t seen each other fora long time.
4. I have lived here since2009.
语音:能正确朗读就医问句及其答语,并区分一般疑问句和特殊疑问句的语调。
语法:复习for和since在现在完成时中的用法。
2)技能目标
听:能够听懂健康生活方式的表述,进行课堂听力训练,提高学生英语听力能力。
说:学习就医的表达交流方式,谈论疾病和如何给出建议。
读:能够读懂关于不健康和健康生活方式的短文,提取细节信息,解决问题。
3)情感态度:将课文主题与生活紧密联系,关心自己也关心他人。
4)文化意识:意识到不同人存在不同的健康生活方式和意识。
5)学习策略:就所给任务合作、讨论、展示。
三、教学重点和难点:

重点进行有关就医话题的听、说训练和for、since在现在完成时中的用法。
Difficult points:
引导学生在活动中、生活中灵活运用句型,培养学生英语听、说能力。

四、教学过程 .
Step 1 Lead-in
Q:T: Before class, let’s watch a flash.You watch carefully and answer my question :

目的:课前播放的动画短片为《如果动物都胖子》,播放短片,主要是想吸引同学们的注意力,同时又引入描述身体状况话题,导入本课。之后,我设计了Colin的三张图片,第一张胖,第二张锻炼,第三张瘦,按照第一、第三、第二张的顺序播放,让同学们说出Colin因为健康问题,经过锻炼后又恢复健康的过程。同时铺垫复习描述病症的相关词汇。
Step 2Review vocabularies.

目的:让同学们复习巩固已学词汇,为后面的口头活动“就医”做词汇准备。
Step 3 Speaking

目的:想象Colin因为身体问题去就医时和医生的对话。开动大脑,回忆就医常用句型,边说边想,为下一环节的总结活动做好准备。

目的:总结就医问诊、描述病情、给出建议等基本常用句型,通过具体呈现的方式让同学们看到我们在模块4所学到的知识,为日常就医使用打好基础。
Step 5 Complete this conversation. Choose correct sentences to complete the conversation.
目的:在总结了就医问诊、描述病情、给出建议等基本常用句型,通过选择合适句子把对话补充完整。
Step 6Make up a new dialogue.
目的:在总结了就医问诊、描述病情、给出建议等基本常用句型,两两活动练习就医对话。
Step 7 For& Since
Tell students to look at the sentences in the conversation. Point out that the difference between “for" and "since" is as following:
for + (length of time); for three weeks, for five minutes, for three centuries
since + (point in time); since winter, since my birthday, since this morning
For example: I have worked here since 2009.
I have worked here since 8 years ago.
I have worked here for 8 years.
目的:学习for、since在现在完成时中的区别用法,让同学们通过表达的对比掌握用法,为后面口语练习做好背景知识铺垫。
Step 8 Choose for and since to complete the sentences.
目的:在学习for、since在现在完成时中的区别用法后,让同学们通过对话练习进一步掌握用法。通过选词填空在练习中应用for、since在现在完成时中的用法,为后面口语练习做好背景知识铺垫。
Step 9Interview.
Work in pairs to ask and answer questions about your classmates using for and since.
目的:采访同学或朋友“做什么事情有多长时间了?”,并用for 和since回答问题,让同学们通过对话练习进一步掌握用法。
Step 10 Homework
After interviewing, you need to write a report to show his/her life experiences.
You can start as following:
Ni Xinyang is our monitor. She is helpful.She has studied at ....since/for...... She ......
目的:会写出用for 和since描述时间长度的句子,从说落实到写,从口头落实到笔头,从写作中再发现错误,改正错误。
