【知识点拨】
形容词的比较级与最高级
1．形容词比较级的句型结构
(1)形容词的比较级＋than＋比较对象。前后相比较的两个事物一定要属于同类，而且作比较时，一定要避免自身与自身相比。表示一个范围内两事物比较，用“比较级＋than＋any other＋单数名词”。
如：He is more careful than any other student in his class.他比班上任何一个学生都认真。
(2)as…as…意为“与……一样……”，其否定形式为“not so/as…as…”，意为“不及；不与……一样……”。它们也是一种表达比较的形式，注意as与as之间要用形容词或副词的原级。
2．比较级的特殊句型
the＋比较级，the＋比较级“越……越……” The busier we are，the unhappier we will be.
比较级＋and＋比较级“越来越……” Our country is getting stronger and stronger.
　　比较级前可以用much，a little，a bit，even等修饰。
如：The shoes are a little bigger for me.对我来说，这双鞋有点儿大。
【注意】当比较级后有of the two…之类的短语时，比较级前要加定冠词the。
在选择疑问句中两者进行比较，常用句型：
Which/When/Who＋be＋形容词比较级，A or B
3．形容词最高级的句型结构
“主语＋be＋the＋形容词最高级＋in/of＋范围”表示“在某范围内最……”。
4．最高级的特殊句型
疑问词＋be＋the＋最高级 Which is the biggest，the sun，the moon or the earth？
the＋序数词＋最高级“第几……” The Yellow River is the second longest river in China.
one of the＋最高级＋复数名词“最……之一” Shanghai is one of the biggest cities in the world.
　　【注意】(1)形容词最高级前通常要加定冠词the。但前面若有物主代词、指示代词或名词所有格等修饰时，不能用定冠词the。
(2)形容词最高级常与介词in或of引导的短语连用，与in连用意为“在……内”，表示“在某范围内”，不一定是同类；与of连用表示“属性”，介词后的名词或代词与句中的主语是同一类人或物，意为“在某一类中”。
