Lesson 30:A Cookie Sale
Learning aims:
1. Master the words and phrases:
crazy、baker
raise money、 sell out of、less than、 too…to…
2.Master the important sentences:
I sold out of my cookies in less than an hour.
It’s too dangerous to do homework on a bicycle, so nobody bought it.
3.Write a plan about raising money .
4.You should know how to help others and give your love to others.
Ask some students to talk about business.

Train students’ speaking and reading skills,and know how to write E-mails .
Moral goal:
Make students know how to use Internet and know how to raise money.The most important for the students is to help others.

Teaching steps：
Step 1. Lead in
1、Greet the students in English and make sure they can response correctly.
2、Come to "THINK ABOUT IT".Present a picture and ask:
T:What are they doing
S1:They are raising money. ...
T: Why do they do it
S2:Because they want to help others. ...
T:Have you ever helped or given money to someone
Ss:Yes. I have.
(Encourage them to answer the questions.)
Step 2. Show the learning aims

Step 3.New words and a phrase
Learn the new words by showing pictures .Let all of them know how to read and write them. Correct their pronunciation when necessary..
Step 4:Read and find
Give them some time to read the text themselves. Then let them find the phrases. Make sure they can find out the phrases ,read it correctly and know how to use them.

Step 5.Read and answer
Let some students read the text.Then ask three students to answer the questions .( Encourage them to read and answer the questions loudly.)

Step6:Group-work
Read the text again and let the students discuss the main idea of the passage in groups. Underline the difficult sentences and make sure the Ss can understand the meaning of the text.

Step 14. Teaching reflection
This text is easy to understand for the students to learn.But I should give students more time to practice speaking English.Encourage them to show themselves in class.They should master the phrases on time.And know how to use the important sentences.But a few students don’t know how to use sell out of and sell out.They should discuss the difficulties in groups and do more exercises.Some students don’t know how to use Object Clause.I should give them more time to master it.Try their best to improve their English ability! It’s important for them to help others .
