【话题产生】 本堂课的话题是“身边的英雄----Heroes around us”, 英雄的课文学习在初下,初二下和初三上教材中都涉及到了;而且在今年春年期间,中央新闻节目连续一周在播放环卫英雄王长荣的事迹,受此事启发,最终把话题定为“Heroes around us”。该话题与学生的生活息息相关,贴近学生的生活实际,让学生有话想说,有话可说,有话会说。鉴于本堂课的学习内容是大部分学生乐于学习和接受的,相信他们对本堂课的话题学习充满了期待。
【授课年级】 九年级
【学情分析】 学生学过有关英雄方面的知识和词汇,对身边的英雄人物也有一定的了解,同时一般现在时也是学生易理解和掌握的一种时态,将此话题和语法结合进行复习,具备了一定的基础。

Today is Wang Chongrong’s birthday---March 20th. Many people from different levels of the society come to visit him. His wife thanked each person a lot. She said “Thanks to your help, he can come back to his life.”
As we all know, Wang Chongrong is a street cleaner of Dongcheng District, in Beijing. He had worked for nearly 100 hours to clean the snow on the streets. Unfortunately, he dropped by overwork. His workmates said,“He is a very hard-working man. He is always the first man to arrive and the last one to leave.”So he is common and great in their eyes.

Here is another news about our common people-----a woman firefighter. Susan says her aunt is one of them.
