get to用作动词短语,意为“到达”。

“by+表交通工具、交通方式的名词(名词前不加冠词,不变复数)”意为“通过……,由……,乘……”。by bike骑自行车;by bus乘公共汽车;by car乘小汽车;by train乘火车;by boat乘船。

6.At the hotel,an old man gives him a magic map.
give sb.sth.=give sth.to sb.,意为“给某人某物”。

=Can you give a piece of bread to me 你能给我一片面包吗
【拓展】　当sth.是代词it或them时,只能用give sth.to sb.。
Please give it to me.请把它给我。

【辨析】　find out,find和look for
(1)find out 表示“发现,查明,弄清楚”,多指通过调查、询问、研究之后“搞清楚”。
We can find out when the train will leave on the computer.我们可以在电脑上查一下火车什么时候离开。
(2)find意为“找到,发现”,强调的是找的结果。
I can’t find my dictionary.
(3)look for 表示寻找,强调寻找的过程或动作。
