【一般过去时】
(一)概念及构成
1. 概念:一般过去时表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态,也可表示过去经常反复发生的动作。一般过去时常和表示过去的时间状语连用,如ago, last year, yesterday, just now(刚才)等。如:
2. 构成:主语+动词的过去式+其他。
Li Ming walked to school last year.去年李明步行去上学。
(二)动词过去式的构成
1. 规则动词过去式的构成
构成规则 例词
一般情况下在动词词尾直接加 ed。 ask→asked, call→called, happen→happened, join→joined
以不发音的字母e结尾的动词直接加 d。 live→lived, like→liked, close→closed
词尾只有一个辅音字母的重读闭音节动词,先双写这个辅音字母,再加 ed。 stop→stopped, plan→planned,
hug→hugged, shop→shopped
以“辅音字母+y”结尾的动词,变y为i, 再加 ed。 cry→cried, dry→dried, study→studied, worry→worried
2. 常见的不规则动词的过去式
am/is→was, are→were, go→went, come→came, do→did, have→had, write→wrote, see→saw, eat→ate, buy→bought, fall→fell, hurt→hurt, build→built, say→said, take→took, break→broke, fly→flew, find→found, give→gave, sleep→slept, hear→heard, meet→met, bring→brought
(三)一般过去时的句式变化
1.肯定句:主语+动词的过去式+其他.如:
He went to the toy store yesterday. 昨天他去玩具店了。
2.否定句:(1)如果谓语部分含有be动词或情态动词,则在be动词或情态动词后直接加not,即“主语+be动词/情态动词的过去式+not+其他.”如:
Wang Mei wasn't in the library just now.
刚才王梅不在图书馆。
(2)如果谓语动词是实义动词,则在实义动词前加didn't,实义动词用原形,即“主语+didn't+动词原形+其他.”如:
He didn't go to the toy store yesterday.
昨天他没有去玩具店。
3.一般疑问句:(1)如果谓语部分含有be动词或情态动词,则把be动词或情态动词直接提到句首,即“be动词/情态动词的过去式+主语+其他?”如:
Was Wang Mei in the library just now
刚才王梅在图书馆吗?
(2)如果谓语动词是实义动词,则在句首加did,实义动词用原形,即“Did+主语+动词原形+其他?”如:
Did he go to the toy store yesterday 昨天他去玩具店了吗?
(3)回答时用yes或no,疑问句用be提问就用be回答,用did提问就用did回答。如:
—Were you at home then 那时你在家吗?
—Yes, I was.是的,我在。
—Did he swim yesterday 昨天他游泳了吗?
—No, he didn't.不,他没有。
4.特殊疑问句:特殊疑问词+一般疑问句?如:
