教学过程
Step 1.Presentation Get students to read the following sentences and pay attention to the verbs ending in letters –ed. They turned around . “What happened ” Andy asked . Andy stood beside the tree and shouted , “Help!”“Help!” Andy picked up the little cat . It sounded like a whisper . Invite five students to read the sentences aloud , then ask : When we read the verbs with –ed endings , how many ways are there to pronounce them Help students to conclude three pronunciations /t/ ,/d/,/id/. Step 2 Listening and practicing Students listen to the tape in Part A and pay attention to the endings . Then read them out . Ask students to watch the last syllable of the verbs in group one , e,g. dance /s/, help /p/, talk /k/ and shop /p/. Help students to find the rule ; -ed pronounces /t/ after the voiceless consonants. Get students to find another two rules of pronouncing the –ed endings: -ed pronounces /d/ after the voiced consonants and vowels .
-ed pronounces /id/ after the sounds /t/ and /d/. 5. Students practicing reading the verbs in Part A again to understand and remember the rules . Step 3 Practice Read the verbs and their simple past tense in Part B , then try to write the pronunciations of –ed endings . Read part C after the tape . Students practice reading the conversation in Part C and pay attention to the different pronunciations of the -ed endings. Get students to have a competition. Step 4 Homework 1) Read the verbs with –ed endings correctly. 2) Preview next period.
