【辨析】
farther和further是far 的比较级，表示距离时可互换。
further还可用于表示抽象含义，强调程度，意为“进一步地；深层地”；而farther只能表示具体的距离，不能用于抽象含义。

weigh既可用作不及物动词，也可用作及物动词。其用作及物动词时，后接名词或代词作宾语。weigh也可译为“有……重”，后接表示数量的名词性短语。

weight是weigh的名词形式，意为“重量”。
