语篇研读 WHAT: 本版块呈现了一篇反映单元主题的说明文,介绍了位于广西壮族自治区桂林市龙胜各族自治县的龙脊梯田,描绘了龙脊梯田在不同季节的美景,讲述了当地少数民族建造梯田的原因和历史,介绍了梯田的运作原理以及现在的价值。 WHY: 了解人类对自然的合理利用和改造,体会当地人民与自然的和谐相处,熟悉当地人的环保观念,树立人与自然命运共同体意识。 HOW: 文章五个段落分别介绍了龙脊梯田的颜色、建造历史、原因、工作原理、价值五个方面,由表及里,结构清晰。
学情分析 学校位于广西桂林,绝大部分学生都是本地人,对关于家乡的学习内容和本土文化有着天然的兴趣和热情。高一年级学生语言理解能力和思考能力较好,表现和表达的意愿较高,小组合作探究活动较易于开展。
教学目标 1通过阅读文章,理解文章大意,分析作者的写作意图; 2理清文章结构,把握说明文的文体特征,迅速找出关键细节; 3.了解龙脊梯田的建造背景、建造原因和运作原理,并恰当运用所学介绍龙脊梯田; 4.了解当地人民尊重自然、合理利用自然、改造自然的行为,加深对单元主题的认知,认识人与自然和谐相处的重要性。
教学重点和难点 运用所学介绍龙脊梯田,探索如何更好开发利用龙脊梯田。
教学过程:

pre-reading activity 1:lead-in T shows some pictures of Ding Zhen(publicity ambassador of Sichuan province) and asks students: 1:Do you know who he is 2: Which ethnic group does he belong to 3: Where does he come from Sichuan or Tibet 4: Do you know what the publicity ambassador is Introduce the topic and make a connection with students' existing knowledge and experience to stimulate students' interest in reading.
activity 2 Assuming that you are a Publicity Ambassador of Longji, please introduce Longji rice terraces to visitors.(T shows different clothes of ethnic groups and asks students to guess which ethnic group it is ) Create situations in which students can engage and provoke thinking.
While-reading activity 3:fast reading Choose the author’s purpose in writing the passage A. To praise the wisdom of the ethnic groups living in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. B. To explain how people worked in harmony with nature to create the Longji Rice Terraces. (right answer) C. To describe the beauty of the Longji Rice Terraces and to attract visitors to this scenic spot. Summarize and integrate, deeply understand the text, explore the author's writing intention, and grasp the stylistic characteristics of expository text.
activity 4:careful reading Read the passage quickly and find out whether the passage covers these 5W1H (who,when,what,why,where,how)aspects. Read the whole passage carefully and match the following statements. para 1:What colors are these terraces in different seasons para 2:Who built these terraces , where and when were these terraces built para 3:Why were these terraces built para 4:How do these terraces work para 5:What attitude do the local people have to the terraces Perception and attention, quickly scan to get the general idea of the passage and the structure of the passage.
activity 5:read paragraph 1 para.1: What colors are these terraces in different seasons Spring: wrapped in silver water(sow) Summer: turn bright green (grow ) Autumn: gold(harvest) Winter: covered in sheets of white frost(rest ) read the text carefully to understand the details. students are able to respect the natural law.
activity 6:read paragraph 2 para 2:Who built these terraces , where and when were these terraces built fill in the table(Who, where and when) let students know the background of the terraces’ construction
