Unit 1 Do you collect anything?
【教材分析】
   Module 6的主要内容为通过对自己和他人爱好的介绍等活动来学习简单句的基本句型,重点学习have a look, tidy up, as a result, come out等短语的用法。从全书来看,本模块承接下一模块对并列复合句的学习和运用,内容有层次的展开,学生容易接受。
第一单元的对话主要讲述了贝蒂和托尼到玲玲家做客,欣赏了玲玲收藏的扇子,然后展开了关于爱好的交流和讨论。这三名学生都介绍了他们的共同爱好——收藏,但藏品不同:玲玲收藏扇子、贝蒂收藏钱币和邮票、托尼收藏车票。最后他们一起讨论了收藏的意义——收藏不在藏品本身,而在于他们给人们带来的回忆。
本课是第一单元的第一课时,是一堂听说课。主要通过听、说活动训练,帮助学生理解新学词汇,并能够运用新词汇了解他人的爱好。同时能够与同伴积极合作,参与课堂活动,大胆实践,能形成广泛的兴趣爱好。

能听懂和阅读关于介绍爱好的语言材料,能通过相关词汇和图片描述自己和他人的爱好;能编写关于爱好的对话。
Moral objective
学会倾听他人的爱好,了解他人的爱好;能够与同伴积极合作,参与课堂活动,大胆实践;能形成广泛的兴趣爱好。
【教学重点】
collect , tidy up和have a look等词汇及短语的使用。
【教学难点】
听懂关于收藏爱好的句子,运用本课新学习的词汇及短语表达自己的爱好,了解他人的爱好。
【教学方法】
PWP method, task-based method and interactive approach

【教学过程】
Teaching Procedures:
Step 1. Warming up
  1、Ss list some hobbies.
2、Ss read the hobbies added by the teacher.
3、Ss work in pairs ,ask and answer about hobbies.
(通过设计学生列举各种爱好及问答对话活动 ,激发学生的学习兴趣,调动学生的积极性)
Step 2 .New words
1.Look and say. The teacher shows the pictures of new words and let the students to say out the words.
2.Teacher shows the collection of notes to Ss.
3.Ss practise expressing using the structure I like collecting... after the teacher shows them.
(这个活动的设计意图是通过学生看图片,尽量说出自己课前预习的本课重要词汇,为接下来的对话作话题和词汇上的准备.教师展示自己的纸币收藏吸引学生注意力,激发学生的学习兴趣)
Step 3. Listening
  1. Listen and find out who collects the things in the pictures.
    Keys: Tony: a, c Tony’s father: b, c Tony’s mum: d, e
  2. Answer the questions. Use the words and expression in the box .
  1) What does Tony’s mum want him to do
  2) Which hobby does Tony think is expensive
  3) Which hobby do you think takes up the most space
    Keys: 1) She wants him to tidy up his room.
   2) Tony thinks stamp-collecting is expensive.
   3) I think collecting toy cars takes up the most space.
(本活动要求学生听并提取小对话中的具体信息)
Step 4 .Let the words fly
Teacher shows some phrases about up and collect ,have Ss read and translate into Chinese.
(通过建立词汇结构图,更好的帮助学生理解记忆单词及短语。)
Step 5 .Enjoy a piece of video and finish the notes.
Lingling’s hobby: ___________________

Step 6. Work in groups
Work in groups of six and find out key phrases in the conversation.Then choose one student to write on the blackboard .

Step 7. Guessing game
They are not very big but very light.
They look beautiful and colorful.
They can show you some different cultures.
You can use them in some machines.
You have to use different ones in different countries.
You can use them to buy things.——notes
They are not heavy.
You can play with them outdoor.
They have different shapes and different colors.
They can fly high in the sky. ___kites

Step 8. Complete the passage with the correct form of the words in the box.

Many people collect things, like postcards and toys. They like to put them (1) __________ special to look at. Lingling collects fans and keeps them on a (2) ____ in her bedroom. Betty collects (3) _____ and notes, such as British (4) ______ and US (5) ______. She also collects stamps from all over the world. Tony collects tickets, but Betty thinks that you cannot do anything with old tickets. Lingling thinks that people also enjoy collecting things to (6) _________ something important in their lives.

Step 9. Play another game :Come and join us
Teacher shows Ss some cards with writing club,reading club and hiking club and so on on them.Encourage them to choose one and start the club .Write something about it and make more people focus on it and join the club.The group which has the most people is the winner.
(本活动的目的是让学生就爱好这个话题进行升级版的交流。鼓励学生培养爱好,发现爱好带来的诸多好处,结交更多志趣相同的朋友。)
Step 10.Sum up
Sum up the key points together.

Step 11.Homework
Ask your parents some questions about their hobbies, and then write a short passage.
(家庭作业是让学生写一篇关于父母爱好的短文,不仅能巩固本课所学,还能增进学生对家长的了解,加深亲情。)

课后反思:
本课是第一单元的第一课时。重点是掌握词汇和短语,并能够听懂和问答关于爱好的话题。通过本堂课的学习,学生们基本掌握了词汇,关于爱好的听力内容也基本上能够听懂。我在设计学生活动时,尤其注重吸引学生的注意力和激发学生的学习兴趣。学生的小组合作活动开展比较成功,达到了预期目的。不足之处是教师对教材第三部分的对话内容处理得不够细致,对学生活动的评价性语言稍少一些。
